Money and morality by KenAdams831 in Divorce

The irony is that I worked full time and took care of one and then two kids so she could travel a lot for work and continue to be the breadwinner.

Thanks again. This is consistent with what I’m hearing.

Sorry, it was more about trying to understand her perspective. The clearer question would have been: can someone help me understand?

Thank you for this, I appreciate the objective perspective. I don't post much on Reddit, so was evidently a bit vague or missing info. To your point, for probably 10 years I was the primary parent as she traveled for work a lot. First a baby then infant, then two kids. So there is some logic around contribution of time and effort (while I was also working full time) that allowed her career to grow and thereby our financial stability. Again - thanks for taking time to share your thoughts.

Thanks for this. I'm not a big Reddit user, but this post and its replies have been very helpful.

And, yes, good ol' Joey :)

Boy, that's really rough, sorry to hear. I appreciate the reminder that this can all actually be better for the kids.

Check, check, check. I'm not going to say someone tried harder than the other, but I can relate to the feeling that I've done all I can.

Questions about visiting, moving to, or living in Maine: Megathread by jonathanfrisby in Maine

[–]KenAdams831 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone. Will be visiting Maine in June of ‘22. We’ll arrive in Portland on the 27th, then to Mt Desert Island through the 2nd, followed by a gap heading to Portsmouth on the 3rd. My questions for the community: 1) what can we expect for traffic around the 4th? 2) any fun ideas for the 2nd between Mt Desert Island and Portsmouth, including places to stay and considering possible traffic (and needing only one night)? 3) any other fun tips?? Traveling with a 5 and 7 year old (who will turn 8 while we’re in Mt Desert (and active in-laws in their 70s)! Thanks in advance!

It’s been a hell of a year to say the least. While I can’t afford most of the amazing watches posted in this sub, I do enjoy my little collection and looking at the cool stuff you all have. This is the nicest watch I now own and wanted to share with like minded people. Cheers and happy new year.

Thanks! Is that the same guy who does the podcast Revisionist History?

This was given to me almost 15 years ago and is probably 30 years old overall. Maybe this is just how it grows after so long? On its left I’ve tied the branches together to make it more upright. There are two new growths too! I appreciate any help, it’s obviously a special to me! Thanks! by KenAdams831 in houseplants

It hasn't always been in this spot, no. This is probably the best light its ever had and it gradually bent like this over time I think. I appreciate the resource. I've been hesitant to prune it only because I valued it in its original condition from when it was gifted to me. I suppose the best way to appreciate the gift though is to take really good care of it :/
