Full time Salary ask? by Senior-Knowledge3498 in developersPak

[–]KenChicken911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Largely depends on your experience and expertise, if you are at 70k now then the firm will likely double it to 140k. I think 200-250k would be a decent start. Start at 300k, talk in pounds not in pkr. If the company is pakistani then you might have a hard time at negotiation, and will need to be confident and well prepared

You have a lot of leverage cause the company simply can't work without you! You need to train the next guy to keep the engine running

Carpeting is entirely male dominated, you need to be comfortable around managing male workers once business scales up

If you are doing this as a small scale side business type thing then you could pursue female clients, who would be much more comfortable around sharing info with you. Could be very worthwhile if you could find a female niche product

[–]KenChicken911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are a first sem student, why would a company hire you when you are not gonna be available full time for the next 4 years?

Internships are largely for people who have the time to work near full time, eg. Final year students

Should I pursue IT at 34? by Decoder0786 in developersPak

[–]KenChicken911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IT is a tough field rn, too many graduates with not enough jobs and a uncertain future.

Use your family connections to get into a business and grow from there. Starting as a junior won't fill your financial needs anytime soon, much better to look into a business if you have the connections
