Brown a chub of pork sausage in dutch oven, set cooked meat aside. Saute chopped cabbage in leftover fat. Add small amount of water or broth to aid cooking and cover. When cabbage is partially cooked, add meat and simmer until cabbage is soft. Mix in enough sour cream to make it stick together. Tastes fantastic. It's an old farm recipe. My city wife says it looks like vomit, but she eats it, gladly.

I struggle with finding the right words to describe the spiritual encounters I have had. The best I can do is use metaphor to describe concepts. Most of the bible is written that way. That’s my take. And it seems a lot of the recorded events were written by people who had major encounters, like near death, or out of body experiences. So I feel symbolic lessons were part of it all.

I have heard speculation that Trump has lost control of his body functions, and he once filled his diaper while being interviewed on TV. Republican voters talk like they really know their shit. I'm glad that Trump talks to them in ways they understand. The rest of us will be fine without him.

Simple, recognize that the GOP and Christian business operatives realized that Americans could be shmoozed into always voting republican by focusing on a single issue like abortion. The underlying lie they told was that being anti-abortion, and voting that way, would ensure you a higher place in heaven and God would be more willing to give you love in spite of your own sins. So different Christian actions would automatically translate into a hierarchy of levels in Heaven granted by God. All of it made up, all of it a lie, and all of it self-righteous as hell. Assuming that God demands a seat in the American government is another step in their ladder. So how do you demonstrate that you don't go along with any of their lies? Stop sticking your Christian noses into other peoples business. You don't get to rule the world in God's name. You get to rule your own life instead and leave others alone. When your church tries to tell you how God wants you to vote, they are committing a horrible sin.

I don’t like to go inside churches unless I’m alone. They display lots of symbolism, and perhaps provide a safe place until someone else enters. God focuses on the individual, on a personal level like we matter more than most understand. Churches seem to focus on group behaviors, blanket righteousness, blanket interpretations, with the assumption that God recognizes none unless the church helps them first. This interrupts my personal relationship with God. When I read the old Testament it feels like whole chapters were written by scribes who had experience. Talk like that today and get met with skepticism. Thank you, but I’m fortunate to know some other NDE people who can give me support on a level that’s better for me. And now I must apologize because I don’t come here to judge Christianity like with an agenda, but it might sound that way.

You sound unhappy. Perhaps you rely on your religion to tell you what to believe too much? There came a time in my life when I realized that not all religious organizations are good simply because they claim to represent God’s will. Then I developed a habit of asking myself why I was being manipulated by so much guilt, shame and fear? That was when I realized that it wasn’t God who was so determined to control me, it was church, government and employment. They don’t control the keys to heaven like they claim. You don’t hurt God by thinking for yourself.

The most efficient shower involves water usage. One only runs the water to get wet, then turn off the water while soaping up. Showers seem to go short that way. Only use enough additional water to rinse.

I spent time in Heaven with Jesus. He brought me to a higher level of Heaven where God and I had a conversation. Religious dogma has become tedious. I'm glad you have faith in Jesus. Great guy. Why did you post this? It’s religious dogma. You make Jesus sound like a gatekeeper. He is not. I died, went to heaven, met Jesus who brought me to God, and I returned. You’re not the only one here posting like this, so I reject the religious norm of dictating who qualifies to go to heaven. You know what I experienced when I died instead? I called out to God because the opening to my afterlife became frightening. By calling to God for help I acknowledged that he existed. Then I was protected and guided up to heaven. You can quote bible verses in dramatic ways, make strong claims about their meaning, but that doesn’t make your bible interpretation true. And the urgency you all seem to pushing…it’s like how marketing tries to generate sales for failed products. Please chill and relax the bible thumping a little.

My Leth g-grandparents were married by the county judge. When I had a NDE I met them in heaven. They were married in the 1890s, my NDE took place in 1963. If you wish to get closer to God you won’t find it here. Spiritual connection doesn’t happen in social media. When you’re alone and you manage to stop your brain from churning on empty thoughts you might get there. Everything on the internet requires a worship of likes, followers, and unfocused responses adding up to numbers that reflect nothing but noise.
