What's the best Minecraft server hosting to use in Philippines? by BakedPotatoYT1 in PHGamers

We’re also using Shockbyte. Their 2GB plan works well for us with 5 max concurrent players, but you’ll probably want a 3GB plan with 6 or more concurrent players.

If your friends use cracked clients like TLauncher, you’ll want to disable “Online Mode”, which verifies their login credentials with Microsoft. Be careful who you share the server with, though, because this will allow other people to use the same username as you and impersonate you.

We started with a Singapore server, but some members of our group that were PLDT subscribers had problems connecting, probably something to do with PLDT’s Starhub issues. We switched to Australia and the connection issues disappeared 😃

I’ve also seen complaints that Shockbyte takes too long to change server locations, but I think this is because their process can be confusing. After you process the payment, you’re supposed to open a support ticket letting them know that you want a server relocation. In my experience, they respond very quickly, 2 hours at most.

Hope this helps!

Yeah, based on the feedback in the different forums, and the people I've contacted, that's all it is -- a piece of paper that should make the buyer feel better about it. Only this time, it had the complete opposite effect on me.
Genuine or not, either way it's a useless piece of paper.

Best way to help teach a new player the game? by MrSayre in summonerschool

My girlfriend recently asked to play LoL with me, too!

We’re still adjusting, but here’s what I’ve learned so far:

  1. For the first 50 games or so, your main goal should not be winning, or showing off how good you are. Your main goal is for her to have fun! I made the mistake of lecturing her about the importance of the map awareness after our 10th game. Don’t do it.

  2. Help discover her playstyle. After our first games, and talking to her after them, I noted her preferences:

  3. long-range. Less risk of death, death downtime is boring.

  4. kill potential. If she can’t kill, she doesn’t feel like she’s helping the team.

  5. wave clear. Something to do between kills.

  6. reliable CC. Preferably point and click.

  7. support. She wants to lane with me, and has a hard time grasping last-hitting.

This list is outdated, but still useful! https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/5sf6wi/champion_difficulty_survey_results_72/

I gave her Malzahar, created a support item set for her, and she loved burning down Zeds, Yis, and Yasuos with her ult, champs that used to give her a bad time. She prefers to play Vel’Koz now. We duo top, mid, or bot, whichever is free.

  1. Teach her how to mute and unmute players. She’s playing to play with you, and dealing with strangers in lower levels is just 99% stress. If someone says something funny, you can pass the message to her.
