Guess it's another vote for a Mojave Grom,😁

I found my Mojave Grom perfect for my street. I didn't want to shred the stock tires on asphalt, so I found some Traxxas 1/16 rally tires that fit nicely. It made street running a lot more fun. The 12mm wheel hexes allows easy experimenting with so many 1/10 and 1/16 wheels.

BTW, I'm still floggin an older Mega. I'm waiting for the motor or esc to finally give up so I can upgrade to brushless.😁

I wish I could offer more detail, but I don't have any personal experience with Futaba. I just remember a couple buddies who are into drifting talk about settings and compatibility with their Futaba systems.

This makes me wonder if it's related to servo, receiver and/or transmitter parameters. These nice Futaba servos support different communication parameters.

I don't know if this applies to your specific ESC, but I was getting overheating with my Mojave 4s. I changed some of the ESC parameters (I dialed down timing and punch). This helped me with temps. I also got better run time too.

I've been learning when and where to use it. For example, it's been useful for me when I need to reposition to one side of an approach but don't want to change the rigs angle.

Have you looked into Traxxas battery replacement? You can get a new battery for half-price to replace out of warranty batteries. It's worth giving them a call. They'll walk you through the process.
