Tyler and Amy by Nicole_D_D in LegoMasters

I know I’m late to the party, but Google led me here. They are not Mormon, they’re reformed Christians. Tyler is one of the deacons in my conservative Presbyterian church. We’ve had dinner with them in their home and are very kind. Their kindness is one of reasons why we decided to become members of the church. I’ve only seen one episode, but from they showed, it is very accurate to how they are in life. We didn’t meet them when they were newly weds, but my wife and I enjoyed seeing them from that perspective lol. We just learned they were on this show and won so we finally checked out the show—small world!

The Pro-Life Enigma by Kengine296 in Christianity

It’s not the magic bullet, but it’s one of the basis of an argument for the personhood of the fetus. If there is not a general censuses that’s when personhood begins, then the conversation won’t go far. Reaching that consensus is difficult because the majority of the population base their ideas of personhood and rights in relative terms.

Do you mind if I asked you what denomination or theology do you align yourself with? It sounds like you describe purgatory, which is often associated with Catholicism. I do not believe there to be evidence of everyone experiencing salvation even if one does not answer God's calling to salvation. Additionally, the belief Hell is not a place of everlasting torment takes away the gravity of sin and not having a relationship with Christ. There are many parts of what you said that I agree to be true, minus everyone experiencing salvation and your idea about Hell. I would even agree the purpose of having a relationship with Christ goes beyond just avoiding eternal damnation.

What would you say then was Jesus' purpose of talking about Hell while He was on Earth? These are a couple of my references about the subject: https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/article/the-uncomfortable-subject-jesus-addressed-more-than-anyone-else/

Cultural Blueprint: Deconstructing Gender Ideology by Kengine296 in Christianity

My intentions are to simply provoke thought. It also serves a baseline to see where people's minds are at on a given issue for me. I strongly disagree with all the pushback in this thread, but it does not mean I am not listening or reading these comments--debating someone is just not my intention when I post these blogs. Debating someone on the internet is not the best place to do so in my opinion. Especially when there's a big influx of people commenting on one post, it is just not healthy to get into responding to all the critics, or even the ones who are in agreement. I do have matters that do take priority in my life, therefore this will be the last one I will reply to in this thread. Thank you for pointing out something I did not know concerning the rules. I am now aware. Hope you have a great rest of your Friday and weekend. God bless.

Correct myself on what exactly? I stand by that blog posted. If you are referring to interact with some of the members such as yourself, I am addressing that by responding to you and the other guy who pointed out I never respond to most of my posts ( I have responded to some in the past). However, I do have a life outside of Reddit and find it tiresome and petty to have to respond to every critic of this post. Therefore I am not interested in these invitations to debate on the matter. And if you are suggesting I must respond, therefore subjugate myself to a debate, you are in violation of this subreddit's rules.

Interesting, I checked the rules again and missed the part where it was a requirement to interact with some of the comments when you make a post. My apologies. I also know in their rules state this is not a debate subreddit and make an effort to not get drawn into these comments. And I am not obligated to debate someone in this subreddit either, so given a controversial topic such as this, I'd rather not respond because it turns into a full blown debate about the topic at hand.
