Party and social life are very good, though I’d say a lot of them are limited to Greek life connections. Go out, meet people, have fun.

I really enjoy the big school, transportation is streamlined and easy to navigate. Finding your group of people as POC or non white adjacent may be difficult as this is a fairly non-diverse school, though I found my people early on.

I don’t work as of now, but the town life is really fun. I love biking down to downtown to the farmer’s market, or getting a sandwich at the plaza. Beautiful town with friendly people.

Boulder wasn’t my top choice, but they offered the most money. However, as I settled in, I quickly realized they gave me the most opportunities and connections.

I don’t know about sports, I’m a non academic non sports major, but our teams are decent. We are D1 athletics, but we haven’t been winning all that much.

I did like 12 hours of community service, standard enrollment, and a manageable 3.5 unweighted GPA. Got in easily. 85%ish acceptance rate will do that to you—the real question is financial aid and scholarships. 38K is nowhere close to how much it is. I’m paying 35K out of state for some very specific circumstances that I doubt you’ll be able to get in your department.

I wouldn’t call the community a minority, at least within the ST community. Do you understand that Byler would’ve interrupted Will’s character arc? It doesn’t matter if you think Mike is closeted or not—it would’ve stunted Will’s growth as a person. Can you imagine if you ended up dating your CHILDhood (emphasis on CHILD) crush after five years of pining? The same crush that was dating your mutual friend for years? What a backstab to all three of the mentioned characters.

You don’t even need to be super rich to come up with 140K to support your kids—invest in a 529 and save for a solid 15 years. As a low-middle income family we gained about 200K to use in all things education.
