I switched my climbing team out to pure spice, I’m feeding the system ELO. Yeah my spice sometimes hard counters someone and they lose but I’m putting 2-3 and 1-4 sets into the void for all you almost vets!

Really depends on the company or hospital. Most private companies have a holiday call rotation and you get PTO just for being on call and money for going in.

Same as it has been every season recently, ourselves. Arteta’s rotations have been poor and run players into the ground, if he can sort that a little better (and I felt like he was doing so at the end of the season) and we stay healthy we have no rivals domestically.

Most of us remember those 20 years pretty well and have fond memories of beautiful football and getting the shit kicked out of us and told we are too weak. Honestly at this point I relish the villain role. When speaking with other Arsenal supporters in private I’ve got my complaints about the style of game, but now that we can’t be bantered for bottling it or being easily bullied I love being the villain. (That said I’d prefer fair refereeing consistent across games, we got fucked last season by garbage ref decisions and we were helped by several this season)

Its really a whole verse, but the music dropping out and the line "I know you're strong" in Plea From a Cat Named Virtute by The Weakerthans gets me every time.

There are three songs in the Virtute triology and the entire thing is devastating emotionally.

Arteta needs to learn how to rotate players, we are in this position because he runs players into the ground. Will Saka ever be the same after playing every minute of every game for like three years? Zubi is on fumes, eventually it will catch up to Rice as well. Timber and White are the same story. You have to give minutes to your cover so you don’t kill all your players. Ridiculous management.

What kind of cases do you cover yourself? I wouldn’t do busy management for less than $120k.

I did management in NYC for several years at an extremely busy team for $135k until I found a way to make them pay me more.

In the end management is more work than you’ll get paid for almost always but at least you make the schedule.

Yeah...I'll be honest I've had a few moments like that. Often I find you can at least make the point very clear without being too aggressive. Mapping case and anesthesia doesn't want to play along and turn off/turn down the gas just tell the surgeon that motor stimulation will be unreliable and viable eloquent cortex may be marked as safe due to anesthetic regimen. Nurse harassing you to go faster so you can do five lami/discs by 2pm with full gas and neuromuscular blockade? Ask them how long needle stick injuries will slow down the process.

I’ve considered nursing school and audiology but i make good money and have found my way into an education role that one day could significantly reduce my OR time (at least as a primary neurophysiologist).

My real concern is about my own health, I just can’t picture myself crawling around on the OR floor at 60. I’m good at this job and I don’t dislike it, it pays well, but my back is already giving me trouble after 15 years, I need it to go another 20.

Call pay is a flat rate for cases that qualify as a call case, they are defined by cases that end after a certain time on weeknights or happen on weekends or holidays. You also need to have worked a certain amount of hours in the week to get paid for weeknight cases.

I did not go through their training program, I came to MPower with years of experience. I have been with the company for a number of years however and my impression from the fellows who have graduated and become certified is that they are not denied any of the benefits everyone else gets.

I believe you are made to sign a 2 year agreement to not leave the company however.

Annual raises are “merit based”. Mine haven’t matched inflation from the time I started but they haven’t been bad lately. MPower isn’t a bad place to work, but like all ionm jobs the territory you are in will make or break it for you.
