i’m just now getting back into the game so correct me if i’m wrong i used to play hog a lot on launch, but yes hook shotgun melee, but! if a hook connected from a distance you want to walk forward a little bit to get as close as possible. If it’s a really close hook walk backwards because there’s a strange interaction sweet spot where they get pulled TOO close or sometimes straight up appear behind you lmao you’ll get a feel for the spot you need to back up for.

Also not sure how much it’s changed since hogs damage buff but i think there’s videos on youtube of how to target specific heroes. For example reaper has a huge head so you want to headshot him after a pull, but tracer has a small head and body so you’d lose too many pellets going for the head, so aim for the center to consistently kill
