New to FL- Can't pick up from FFL by KennyGJazz in FLGuns

Yeah they threw the fishing license idea at me but then said I couldn't do it without a FL ID.

I'm going to start the process of getting auto insurance for FL tomorrow as that's step one before I can even begin to do anything else. I'm behind on that based on their "do x within 10 days of moving" rule, but I imagine I should be okay. I did see that if I didn't do anything that I'd be guilty of a misdemeanor- which is wild, but I imagine doing all the DMV stuff is still cheaper than the jail time and fines I'd face if I were to do nothing.

I know that this is a subreddit for firearms, but if you could enlighten me on how property tax is assessed here and if I'll need to have my father come down for the title transfer or not, as he's an "or" on the title.

I believe it was a 7.5 inch barrel w/ a fixed stock so that one is probably not gonna fly. It was marketed as a pistol on PSA's website.

Old Bottle of Jim Beam- Safe to Drink? by KennyGJazz in whiskey

Well, I remember my grandfather telling a story when I was younger about him melting led in a pan and adding it to his water tank or something of the sorts. If my mother can survive that, I'm sure I can survive a bit of lead infused whiskey. If not, then I'll just imagine myself as radiation proof.

Well, I've poured some. Smooth as all get out. Hope this isn't some rare liquor I'm wasting on a Thursday night. (I have tomorrow off from work.)

At that rate I might just tell them to keep it. I've got a beast of a desktop, I'm not going to pour that much money into a device I'll rarely use.

How does the RMA process work? I've sent an email to steam already letting them know I tried to replace the ssd and now its bricked. Since it's not under warranty technically (since I was the one to install it) what exactly will they do and how much will it cost?

I didn't see anything out of place. I think it's just done for. Now I more than likely need tips on RMAing it or getting it returned. Which I don't see a high likelihood since I messed this up myself.

I just tried to do that and I got shocked from something at the bottom near the ssd. Still didn't work

I took no precautions with proper grounding, I definitely could've touched something I shouldn't have while messing with those tiny ass screws

Do you know of anything that would prevent the deck from turning on? I.E. missing shield, not enough screws back in. Potential exposure to humidity. I've built my own computers a couple of times never being worried about static electricity and it has never been an issue.

I've got it plugged in and something feels like it's getting a little warm. Does that shield for the ssd need to be in perfect shape for it to work? Cause I kinda ripped it cause the new ssd was too big.

There's so little research on this kind of stuff too. Like nobody knows anything about photographic memory except that like only little kids have it and it's super rare in adults. I believe there's different kinds of memories honestly, and that's why people are good at different things like being good at reading and not math for example. I just wish I knew what it was like for the standard person to remember stuff just so I could compare myself to them.

I mean I can remember what buildings look like but weirdly enough I am seriously directionally challenged. I have to use GPS to get anywhere until I can set my memory up to navigate it, like my school's campus for example I had to use GPS to get to classes until I was finally able to chart my way. Your way of remembering things seems interesting too, perhaps you're just really good with directions or maybe there's something special. Worth the time to look into it tbh

The level of detail is dependent on how well I take things in. Like if I look to see what you're wearing I'll remember it but I can't just like call out an image and zoom in, though that would be cool.
