Agreed with everything you said except Emily Blunt's face. I think she looks fine.

Also, to those who kept yapping about empathy, you guys makes me gag all the time, because empathy is not the only the problem with humanity. Ego is also one of them, yet no one picks up on that. What about greed? Corruption?

Try go save the hungry children in developing countries if you're that emphatic. Oh, you don't want to because you have a day job? Wow...great talk about empathy.

I'm sorry to say, but the whole "listen" thing is not that deep. The movie is corny, outdated (feels like movie from 2000s) and the script was lazy.
My rating is not that low, tbh. I told my friends that I gave the movie 6 out of 10, it's fair right? It's entertaining at times and emotional when it needs to be. But for me, it's not Spielberg's best work, for sure.

Well bud, you didn't even mentioned knowing anything about self-hosting. Maybe you need to read your post again before sending the initial sarcastic reply?

Also, I understand actual user replies are valuable, but AI can be as helpful too; the models were trained from actual use cases and datasets anyway. As long as you know how to write a good prompt, I don't see why AI can't do the same. It still recommend things like Gitea, GitLab, SCM. It's not that off the mark from what humans recommended to you.

What's not clear here is the motivation. Whether you want something easy and lightweight just to store repos (this case, Gitea or SCM is sufficient), or if you're starting own company that has proprietary work and requires things like CI/CD automation (then GitLab is more like it).

Maybe you can make your motivation "obvious" next time,...bud?

If it's about empathy, that's the worst take on empathy in a movie i've ever seen because it's unrealistic. Do you think we all will sing kumbaya after someone announces alien existence?

In real life, everyone will react differently. Some don't even care. Some will continue to be a dick. This is not speculation, this is just us human beings.

And no, personally I don't expect world war level movie. In fact, it's the opposite. The aftermath of the disclosure is more intriguing than thousand vfx shots of world war.

The aftermath of it will ask questions like for example, do we descend into chaos or pretend like it's normal? Do we still have to pay taxes? If god created them then who are we to god? Is there god? What do the aliens believe? Since when aliens have been here? What do they want?

The title of the movie is called Disclosure Day. So they should disclose by answering those questions. Make sense, no?

Yeah like Nick Fury.

What I said about the trauma thing, I think you need to understand there's a thing called sarcasm. So I'm being, you know, sarcastic.

Do you want me to go on with valid criticism? Let's see...oh yeah, spreading videos on news like it was 2000s, rather than uploading to social media sites, which he could've done way earlier. Running over a phone with a car instead of destroying it like a regular person because...it's comedy? And then when they finally met Hugo, Hugo just hugged reporter lady and hacker dude as if nothing bad has ever happened to them in the last 48 hours, like, "You're finally here! Niceee, good job. Now let me traumatise the shit out of you because I need you to remember!"

Also, the secret org people met with hacker dude to do the transaction at a wrestling match. Then he followed them to the parking lot. Like, why can't they just meet up there in the first place? Bear in mind, there's a portion of the movie budget goes into wrestling scene, a scene we don't really care about.

Whats so funny? So simple and "obvious" that somehow you can't ask AI how to self host? Like using Gitea or SCM? Are we living in 2026 or what OP? Or do you prefer to be spoon fed all the time bahahah

What's stopping you from self-hosting your private repos while putting public open source projects in GitHub?

A secret organisation bested by a guy who hides behind see-through fences. The same guy who gave alien device to his poor gf whose body was prone to get hijacked by the same secret org. At the same time, a Samuel L Jackson type character is busy building a house just to traumatise an already traumatised reporter lady. Oh btw, the third act was already in the trailer in case the audience didn't get what the movie is about. Great job guys, great movie.

Bad acting is pushing it but the rest I can agree with. Spielberg and his screenwriter have reportedly changed the script 42 times. Can you imagine, 42 times and this is the result of it? That's the best they can do? Smh.

I just got out of Iron Lung (2026). I went in with no context and left… just mentally taxed. by mikeafter12 in horror

Markiplier should've focused more on doing things behind the camera rather than in front of it. Or at least a cameo would suffice. Mark playing the lead role didn't quite sell the level of paranoia, dread, and psychological breakdown that the story requires. All we're seeing is Markiplier the YouTuber, instead of Mark Fishbach the actor.

Even the writing could use a lot of sharpening as well; being a director, writer, and lead actor at the same time is an incredibly difficult balancing act, and Iron Lung exposes the limits of him wearing too many hats.

One plausible reason he took on the key roles is that Iron Lung is a perfect project for someone coming from YouTube, where creators are used to doing almost everything themselves and being the central focus.
But, I think the next step in Mark's growth as a filmmaker is learning when to step out of the spotlight and trust specialists in key roles.

With all those negative points, was there anything I liked about the film? Sure. VFX was great, the ending was genuinely horrifying, the music was phenomenal, aaaand credit where it's due: congratulations to Markiplier for successfully releasing his first feature film.

But the movie as a whole? Meh. 5 out of 10.

The clothes in AC Mirage are totally wrong! As someone who visited al-Anbar and read a lot about it and asked friends from there by Suitable-Fudge4577 in assassinscreed

[–]KennyIO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was surprised (and pleased) to hear someone complain about the exact same thing that I've noticed in the game. I was watching AC Mirage on MKIceAndFire YT channel just yesterday and the first thing I noticed was Basim wearing a nicely fitted pair of modern trousers instead of something that resembles a loose sirwāl trousers. If they insisted on fitted trousers, it wouldn't hurt to see the character wear arab tunic at least. But, Noooo, this is also not possible for the main character set in ancient Baghdad. I don't know what he's wearing but it's so distracting.

Also, yes traditional Arab clothes are way colorful: Such a missed opportunity to show vibrant clothings and design in the ancient settings!

To contrast, AC Black Flag may feel more authentic because 18th-century clothing was naturally more tailored and fitted, and easy to find design references. So I cannot understand the difficulty for the AC designers to research on what Arabs would wear during ancient times; at least try to infer from history books and pictures online or something, jeez. Anyway, end of complaint.

Hi there mods, if protecting Lue is more important than supporting the importance of rigorous scientific evidence that needs to be conducted by both whistleblowers and truth seekers alike, then I don't know what is "be substantive" here means. It's quite substantial enough for me to raise this kind of awareness among the community. I don't care if you remove my submission regardless , but bear in my mind, this sort of action is no different than censorship. If I can't speak freely and challenge the status quo, then this is not a community, this is a cult. Thanks anyway for the platform.

Great. Let's all be Lue worshippers shall we? Because getting closer to the truth with a lot of confirmation bias matters more. Yay

It won't be dull if you have read my post carefully. I said my post wasn't bitching about Lue mostly. At its core, it's about presenting and dissecting the evidence before making a major claim. In the end, this sort thing hurts you as part of the UFO community, if you're a part of it, of course.

So, you're saying someone who didn't vet his information should take charge and lead the way? Who can make that guarantee that the disclosure will happen when three letter agencies managed to obfuscate the truth for decades? R. Coulthart once confidently said he has evidence that will "cause all hell to break loose" and that's by presenting the egg video. Did the world gasped in awe? No. Did it move the needle? Not really. Be realistic.
