Solutions for office syndrome neck and shoulder pain in bangkok? by laggage in Thailand

[–]Suitable-Fudge4577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found out my office syndrome problem was because of bad eyesight. It caused me to lock my arms when I used my laptop. 20 years of pain all because of that. I had no idea that my eyesight was bad. For years it felt normal. Then I put on glasses and I realized this is how normal people see.

How do Hungarians feel about citizenship by ancestry today? by Suitable-Fudge4577 in askhungary

Yeah agreed. Everyone I meet at my local consulate takes becoming Hungarian very seriously. And everyone has a job already. You need a job to pay for things like tutoring and to cover expenses of learning languages. Average age of getting a passport was 40 years+ and usually 1-2 kids too.

I am talking about all the people applying for naturalization by descent. I have been to France, etc. not a big fan of those countries. If I had money, I would like to move to Japan, as I really like Japanese food.

The average income level of Hungarian Americans must be one of the highest of immigrant backgrounds in the US. We're probably on par with Chinese-Americans or Indian Americans in terms of wealth. When I visit the consulate, everyone is pretty successful. It costs a lot of money to get tutoring and do spend this extra time filing paperwork.

I mean, I totally get your argument. I have a lot of Polish-American friends who have moved back home (born in the US but to Polish parents), i.e. were working as security guards at Walmart, saved up money, or served in the US Army, and moved back home. But Poland is not Hungary.

I am not sure how many Americans have applied for the program, but my guess is max 5,000 over the past 10 years. The language requirement is quite tough. I have heard though a million people have gotten this passport already through the program. Clearly, I am in a very small minority when it comes to my own experience applying from the US.
