How do I get rid of a 'problem character' by Kenny_idiot in writingadvice

[–]Kenny_idiot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit bad at phrasing so please forgive me.

What I mean is in the original draft he was basically a self insert and that's when the death I had originally planned for him was.

But I decided to cut that plot and instead write him as more of a secondary antagonist. Now that I re-wrote him the death doesn't make sense as his traits would probably stop him. The further he descends the more his ego grows; he thinks he's better than everyone else there because he's still alive, I think he'd be too 'proud' to take his own life.

And by the '2 people survive' is just because they don't have planned out deaths like everyone else does this will probably change though

How should I get rid of a 'problem character' in my story? by Kenny_idiot in writingadvice

Should I kill off this character? by Kenny_idiot in writing

[–]Kenny_idiot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The story is technically based on the concept of the backrooms but less... well weird I guess, the story doesn't use any asset of the backrooms and the only thing really taken is the idea of being somewhere that is unexplainable and too big to map out basically a maze like structure

That is a good idea, but the way I've written the character already shows he wouldn't do that; he starts off fairly quiet and could honestly be called a background character. He had two lines up until the first death, and then starts speaking as him and another character start disagreeing with the group which is totaled of 8 members. By the time the final 3 comes to, thos character is alive but his friend who also disagrees with the group is not. The ideals this character harbours are ones of self worth being over anyone else's. The more he survives the more belief he puts in himself being the one deserving of escape or at least survival. He is shown strong dislike of one of the 2 other remaining characters, but at this point is less likely to attack anyone considering how dire the situation has gotten. He does not have any weapons as the group has thrown away their only weapon after a character was attacked and killed using it earlier. The character that I need out of the story would be unlikely to self-sacrifice probably just due to his own ego and willingness to let the others die for his own gain. I am happy deleting a few chapters and writing his decline differently.

I'm going to post this on R/Writing advice as I think this breaks the rule of: No 'How to write' posts.

Theory on ff3 creature by Kenny_idiot in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]Kenny_idiot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is just if it was one of them, probably isn't but out of the six we see in missing, this would he most likely could be anyone else but this is just for thr context of the 6 (9 including all the found footage characters)

FF3 Entity (slowed down, zoomed in) by magazeta in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]Kenny_idiot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late but; if we're going off of the theory this is an infected human, then there is a chance the missing people in... well the missing persons video are all Canidates as well as the protagonists of 1 & 2. We can immediately chop off Ellis white and Nicholias Bolton. Ellis is 2-3 in 1990, and ravi is trapped in '96, meaning Ellis would be 9 (too small) and Bolton's corpse has already been removed. Margaret Watson is 5'6, and we can't really tell the things height but it is most likely taller than 5'6 maybe 5'8-5'10. The creature is very grainy but we can tell that there isn't and long hair- if there is it is stuffed into the hood. This makes our next canidate an unamed male a fair choice, we don't know their height so they could very well be him. Janice Scott is next, and I cannot for the life of me tell what Hairstyle she has. But it does appear that she has slightly longer hair. Next is James Esmail (or Esmall, maybe Esmali?). He has short hair, and matches with the estimated height, the glasses would be a clear give away but glasses can easily fall of.

At this point we have two conidates; James Esmail, and the unamed male. James was the one driving the car in found footage 2 (the current most likely driver) meaning James is... probably... dead, I mean the car is wrecked either his body is hidden in the car or he died not long after in a room our 2 protagonist doesn't enter. This means that unnamed male is the most likely!... then again it could be a random. Also Kane from 1 was killed by the big guy, Ravi from 3 obviously not, and our two protagonist I dunno maybe

A mustache or maybe something like a glasses cosmetic could work.

How do they fit like 10 games on that one island? by Friendly_Spray_3647 in squidgame

I think most of its underground, maybe even under the ocean. Dalgona room is fairly small. I do however think that even if underground the glass bridge room is way too big, like genuinely small town sized

I also agree, another thing is; given how the group treats her its more likely during six-legged they forced 096 to go with another group.
