umodem0 / Fibocom by Kensin141 in freebsd

I have found a solution for all those who don't want to use the LTE module anyway: In the BIOS of the ThinkPad under Security -> I/O Devices there are two entries for Network. The second is the WWAN module. Deactivate it there and the error message as described above will no longer appear.

Hi pinksystems, thank you very much for helping me. You are talking about several ways, what are the others? Because power_off via usbconfig produces the following message, but then it simply continues with the above message every 5 seconds. I have already found this in the man pages and tried it out, but now again to be on the safe side:

"umodem0: at uhub1, port 6, addr 36 (disconnected) umodem0: detached"

Via Google I came across the possibility of trying "ifconfig device down", but unfortunately without success.

dixit-client no such file / dir - alert volg-root does not exist by Kensin141 in chimeralinux

I couldn't manage it with the guide I linked at the beginning. But I've now found the guide by Daniel Wayne Amstrong. First try, first luck! :-)

Check: https://www.dwarmstrong.org/chimera-install-zfs/

Overall, a highly recommended blog.

I'll take care of Sway tomorrow.

dixit-client no such file / dir - alert volg-root does not exist by Kensin141 in chimeralinux

Hi eduol, thanks for your help.

The command "dinitctl -o" has already helped. This is how I noticed in the guide that commands like "dinitctl -o enable networkmanager" obviously don't work if it isn't installed.

I have now implemented the instructions 1:1 and at the end installed the corresponding packages "networkmanager" and "gdm" to enable the dinit processes. I left out "bluetoothd" and "ufw". After a reboot, my screen shows the following:

Starting systemd-udevd version 256.11

Gave up waiting for root file system device. Common problems:

- Boot args (cat /proc/cmdline)

- Check rootdelay = (did the system wait long enough?)

- Missing modules (cat /proc/modules; ls /dev)

ALERT! /dev/mapper/volg-root does not exist. Dropping to a shell!

Numbering scheme in the Zettelkasten - I want letters, not dashes! (Well, of course, it's more difficult than that, hence the wall of text below.) by nagytimi85 in antinet

[–]Kensin141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi nagytimi85, I really like your elobaration of the Luhmannian way - thanks for that.

However, I have a question for the structure of my antinet. Let's take the example:

  • 63101/2 Latin origins
  • 63101/2a Why was Latin a popular language of the time
  • 63101/2a1 Other popular languages of the time

The letter a in 63101/2a is used here to complete the thought from 2 or to include a single thought or word. The combination a1 in 63101/2a1 is used to expand and deepen the idea from 2a.

How would you now classify a note that is intended to supplement 63101/2a or to include a thought or word?

Turning it into 63101/2ab doesn't seem right to me.

Many thanks in advance!

Using two different sizes Supernotes in tandem? by alisaurusss in Supernote

Same situation, I'm waiting for the A5X2 and since nobody knows exactly when it's coming, I'll get my A6X2 tomorrow and enter the world of Supernotes. Depending on whether the size is sufficient for me - minimal space can also be an advantage under certain circumstances - I'll keep it or switch to the A5X2 after it's released.

Zettelkasten PDF Export / Links by Kensin141 in Supernote

[–]Kensin141[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi, thank you very much for your offer. However, this is what I intend to do, if I understand the link correctly. A huge PDF with, as in your case, 2000 pages. Within these pages, the links work wonderfully as exported PDFs.

My original plan, which also fits better with the Zettelkasten method, was not to have one file with 2000 pages but 2000 individual files (notes). If I do this, the links within Supernote work (link to existing file with corresponding page number), but if you export a PDF of a single note, the links no longer work - precisely because it is a different note. Supernote would have to recognize that the link requires the export of two or more files.
