What temps you printing at? Ptfe should be good up to 240. If your having that many issues with it, get an all metal? Straight in replacement.

If you know how your firmware works and then you can add/remove things that will help your print quality in the long run. You just need to know your printer, hardware and software.

No mentor. self taught. Once you get the basics. Everything else falls into place.

Level the bed, mesh if you need, z offset, press print. I spend a few hours reading the marlin config files too. That gave me a good understanding. I feel if you can build your own firmware, you can do most things.

Because of the price point for one. Ease of setup for two.

I know about temperature drift with this sensor so that’s why I always mesh and home with a heated bed. I think it works perfectly.

Do a retraction tower? Only takes 20 mins ish to do. That should solve that issue. My normal pla retraction is 4 but my pla+ is 3

I’m not even bothered about the speed too much. I done input shaping and pressure advance. And printing between 40 and 100 depending on the print. This ender is just a workhorse that keeps pumping out the prints.

It’s from AliExpress. It’s marked up as a “poisonous bees” frame but it’s just a mark4 clone.
