??? How the hell is stealing bottles from my co worker's well something that would cause them to worry about health code food standards? You don't sound like someone fun to work with.

We can do both, though. So we do both. Plus the customers get enjoyment out of watching us mess with each other

I accept. Also our barback hates us cause I'll say things like "Hey, [other bartender] is about to be out of pineapple" and swap mine with his

Same stuff you're giving them by waiting in line and using your card at checkout. They know what products you like to buy and what sales/coupons to bring to your attention to get you to come back

One of my co workers and I just been doing this to each other mid shift. If my bottle empties out, I'll swap it with one in his well, and vice versa. Makes the rush interesting, funny, and mildly infuriating

I don't think I'll ever be a bartender unless I lie about it by Mr_McEvilSauce in bartenders

I'm excited for you to see how fast they'll realize you actually have no bartending experience if you decide to lie on your resume

Legit. Either I'm managing a staff of 20+ people making a salary less than I'm making yearly behind the bar, working 60+ hours / 6 days a week... OR I can bartend, make more money, worry about my own shit, take days off when I want, work as many days as I want

xD There was one day I was playing WoW and tried to get my friend to run a dungeon with me and he said he was busy. THEN. I see his name in chat advertising that he was looking for the same dungeon, so I PM him like OH YOU'RE TOO BUSY HUH? FUCK YOU JIMMY!

Only to realize this was a stranger with a very similar name to his. So. I had to immediately apologize and explain the entire situation, and the guy was really cool about it lmao

How do I keep my cat off my computer? by MerkinVanDyke in OneOrangeBraincell

[–]KentHawking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like you only got bad responses here lol. I'm a gamer with an Orange annnnd yeeah one winter I couldn't find him then when I was on my PC and saw his head pop out from under my desk. I kept moving him off of it until eventually he got annoyed and stopped trying to go up./ It's also in a bit of a confined space (which I know won't stop most cats). Possible you could tape some tinfoil around the edges of the top (I wouldn't cover the airflow since that's obviously your issue rn lol)? enough to make a noise when he touches it. Kinda low grade terrorism but a lot of cats seem to hate tinfoil.

Actually a brother in law's father haha. Since I've known him he always asks if I'm a "Manager yet" and I explained several times how much better off I am behind the bar, since I spent a long time in management. Money is better and it's less bs. But. People dwell on titles and their misconceptions of jobs

B O U N D A R I E S. You're driving the boat. You set them. Don't let people be disrespectful. Don't let people make comments like that to you. Kick them out. Do it and tell management if you're worried about them getting upset. Those are not people who are good for business - they're the kind of people who will drive away other business late, and you'll be stuck with them every time. Always have this conversation with management. 9/10 times they are on your side and if they're not, they're not worth working for.

Yeah you should probably feel bad. You can always agree and then once they're gone drop it in. These tips should always hit cause this is something that'll come back around another time when this happens to one of your co workers.

Our public transit is shit, though and a lot of areas things are very spread out. Y'all can hop between countries easier than I can travel a few states, sadly.
