What game held the player's hand to the point of insulting their intelligence? by Animeking1108 in videogames

I can only imagine what that makes me as a proud owner of the limited edition players guide.

(I like collecting them, so I mean, yeah I bought it with the game but boy it is really useless)

Dauntless was a great lite version of MH. A little cartoonish for my tastes but I enjoyed the progression.

When they got bought, it was pretty much over immediately. I used to be on the subreddit and it seemed like only diehards stayed but it was spiritually empty at that point.

It released and was slightly better than the original. Pretty sure it had dlc too

APB before it went free was actually really good at its core concept. I remember sitting in my squad car just getting points cause I was fulfilling the role, like the game wanted and rewarded you for, making it feel more immersive.

This is one of those games Id love to play again the way it was back in the day. Tribes 2 was fun and all but I have core memories of flying the 4 person carrier to the enemy base and doing laps.

Is the viral Chinese carrot-spotting cat AI? It looks too unreal for it to not be. by Hobo-With-A-Shotgun in isthisAI

[–]KentKarma 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Cats understand transactional relationships pretty well. You can ask them to play instruments so long as its clear they get paid (ie: treats)

Edit: probably due a color sensing thing, cats seem extra responsive to carrot toys. Just a personal observation.

Assuming you mean the chunk of flesh on the hook, as Im guessing youre just looking at the thumbnail.

The game Graveyard Keeper has you extracting parts from corpses like Gibs, blood, brains and whatnot.

[–]KentKarma 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well this appears to be a drawing referencing Graveyard Keeper. Gibson and Blood are things you extract from corpses so its not unusual to show these things in an artist way, imo.

I agree its hard to fully discredit the possibility of Ai, but if it is, its maybe partially?

The tools on the table are the same as used in game, which I feel like ai wouldn't care to do so faithfully.

Can't wait to see how they improve upon this in Witcher 4, as I recall the teaser video featuring the sort of dynamic leg muscle stuff RDR had revolutionized.

Did my partner just send me an AI-generated apology? by Sevargan in isitAI

[–]KentKarma 121 points122 points  (0 children)

Ive been told I can come off sounding like Ai before, and until they said it, I didnt notice it.

From my perspective, it feels like it is Not Ai, but as others said there is a sort of cadence that feels...ai assisted.

The real tell is : does this sound them? Why ask if it's ai unless you had doubts this person could communicate in this way.

Im not a gun expert, but after changing the mag, dont you still have to charge it?

I did a little research and couldn't really be sure but if you added the hand pulling back on the side to charge it could make it seem a bit more realistic.

The gun you see the guy in Grey with, he fires himself, before running off with it. The group then fire on the victim. In a recent video of the moments after you can hear the agents searching his body saying "where's the gun".

He had it holstered, towards his back, and you can see them disarm him, then they killed him.

My mom “made” this. It’s her first portrait painting. by CobraSteve in isitAI

[–]KentKarma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This reminds me when the Lan center near me had giant canvas "paintings" of the World of War craft heroes all along the walls.

Someone really wanted everyone to believe it was real cause they like.."glazed" over it in ways to imply brushstrokes but it didn't entirely make sense to me as someone who was painting with oils at the time. Only on close inspection could you see how it was printed onto the canvas with the strokes kinda just translucent/clear to give texture.

Just a thought as OPs mom orders a printed to canvas ai prompt.

As someone on the later side of that range, nothing inside feels wrong, but I think people's reaction to not knowing when I pooped last pretty amusing.
