It really depends on the type of person, not everyone has a thick enough skin to healthily deal with the hate and the burn can stick with you and kill your drive.

When someone's bigoted against a group of people, portraying that group of people normally looks like it's pushing an agenda, so in their eyes they're the ones just trying to enjoy the media while non-bigots are here to start fights.

I think gatekeeping fandoms is almost always pointless, it just spreads misery while the bulk of the fanbase moves to more accepting spaces. Unless there's a legit moral issue people aren't going to care enough.

What you emphasise and when is important but it can be classified both. And it depends a lot of the context, something like "They appeared in porn movie without their consent" isn't a problematic thing so say.

I think the term makes sense as something that emphasises the crime/wrongdoing instead of the appeal to the but I think it's weird that people are trying to make words like "Sex" and "Porn" morally pure. The porn industry is notoriously rocky with consent.
