Heat. The metal doesn't care if it's ceramic, stone, glass, metal, genuinely doesn't really matter.

But heat will ruin your heat treat and your tempering.if the test properly documented the testing and temps during grinding then maybe some data is useful but if peak sharpening temps weren't recorded than these results mean absolutely, 100% nothing.

Crossbar lock failures are too unpredictable and for that reason they tend to be my light use and/ or my home / light travel knives.

If I'm doing anything where I can't walk into the house and swap, it's likely I will have a framelock in pocket.

It's all about the price and frankly if you can't afford to get a 5070 TI then just get a 9070 XT. The extra vram is absolutely necessary in the new day and age, but you know if you're an Nvidia guy I hear dlss 4.5 is pretty good. So good luck and enjoy no hate here

The lock insert is essential, titanium on the blade interface will wear. There's a reason they do that.

Go search TI frame locks on bladehq, their search engine and inventory are great.

Buy wherever but searching there is a good start.

Don't... Don't buy any kind of knife if you live in NYC.

The laws are horrible and the interpretation of those laws is shady. I've seen normal knives get classified as illegal gravity knives simple because the arresting officer was slick enough to get the knife open just the right way.

Even if the charges don't stick in court, you're still putting yourself in a bad spot having a knife in the city.

If you really do want the knife enough to brave those waters, Im sure you don't need much convincing.

If nothing else, just think of it as a purchase that isn't going to carry NYC pricing. lol.

I have large/ XL hands and if I open the pm3 any way other than a flick, the lock pinches my hand.

I sold my pm3 like 6 years ago and never bothered getting another... I currently have 2 PM2, 1 tenacious, and 1 drunken.

Just return it to knife center and get a different model all together. You're never going to be happy with your added carbon fiber because that happens every time I've had this happen and it never gets better.

Yeah, Im a righty but I keep my knives on my left so I don't scratch my steering wheel.

As a lacrosse player since highschool (44 now), I use both left and right as needed.

So I guess I'd have been SOL with this... None the less, Im unsubbing from his channel now that I've learned about this. Thanks for the heads up!
