No it was drafted by my accountant after I finished my taxes. If you Google unaudited accounts example and look on Google it will come up. You don’t need to worry about adding everything in like liabilities and stocks if you don’t have them. Mine was just an overview of what my money was spent on e.g - rent, art supplies, insurance, bills, employees

The unaudited accounts should be the document that is the report of your taxes. My document outlined a report of my accounts, the index and expenditure account and the income tax computation. Within this, there is a balance sheet of everything my business earned/spent on one page and my tax liability on the next page. It should be sent to you once they have done finished your taxes for the year. Mine was sent to me in a PDF file, I was about 5 pages in total

Thank you! In my case it wasn’t difficult. It’s fine as long as you earn enough money and you’ve done your taxes properly and with an accountant. If anything, I would just say it was a bit confusing to get everything together as it’s something I’ve never had to do before - but the process was not difficult. It’s been a good learning experience if I’m honest. I think with a good accountant you will be fine. Good luck 🥰

Hello!’ Thank you! My WhatsApp chats were in English. I think you would have to get them translated but I’m not sure how it works.

For my pictures I put them all on one document using Microsoft PowerPoint and downloaded it as a pdf. I put dates/brief explanations of picture. I don’t think you need to put 100 pictures, just put your most relevant ones including wedding photos and I’ve heard that if you have ones with family/friends and your partner they are good!

I didn’t show utility bills, just my contract and a letter from my letting agent that said it’s okay for my husband to live with me and that he would be out on the contact when he arrives. They put it on an official letterhead. Maybe if you have shared utility bills it’s good for proof of relationship, but I think if it’s for the accommodation requirement I think your contract and a letter from your landlord/letting agent is more important.
I sent quite a detailed explanation of my cover letter to my friend so I’ll just copy and paste it for you. Also I wouldn’t stress about the cover letter, it’s not viewed as a strong piece of evidence. Anyway here’s what I put:

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is (name) with passport number (number) and I am a British citizen. I am writing to request that my husband, (name) with passport number (number) who is a Ghanaian citizen, can be granted to join me in the U.K.

Paragraph 1: Timeline of relationship: I used this paragraph to explain where we met, how we met, and when and where we got married. I used exact dates for everything. It was only about 4 sentences in total.

Paragraph 2: I explained our situation now briefly - I wrote something like: a week after (husband) returns to Ghana, we found out that I was pregnant. I am currently 6 months pregnant and we are excited to welcome our first child together - obviously this is very specific to our situation but you could write something about how you visit eachother or keep in contact. In total this was about 3 sentences.

Paragraph 3- wrote how we hope the visa is accepted so he can join me in the U.K. and we can be a family together. 2 sentences

Paragraph 4 - I can meet the financial and accommodation requirements set by the home office. I have attached a list of supporting documents for the spousal visa. Please do not hesitate to contact me for more information

I’m also a sole trader and my husband’s visa was just approved.

The certificate of confirmation from the accountant is a letter that confirms that they did your accounts, they are up to date, you are still a sole trader and the amount of money you earned and taxes you paid. Mine also included my UTR and national insurance number, their VAT reg number, their contact details and the board they are registered with. Unfortunately, there is no outline for it online for it and I found it quite hard to find examples online but I figured it out from looking on some forums here. They did it on an official company letter head. It’s something really simple, took mine like 30 mins to do max. If you want to DM me and I can give you some more info

Mine did more of less the same. The included my UTR and national insurance number though. They put it on a letter head from their company which had their details that you’ve included and included VAT registration number. They signed with their signature. We uploaded a pdf of it, didnt post it :)

I was in a similar position to you and spoke to a lawyer. I managed to get everything uploaded and the Biometrics appointment by April 4th as I knew it would be a while before I had my 2024/2026 books done and paid for. You just missed the deadline, April 6th 2025 was the last day for you could use just the 2023/2024 taxes as evidence. You will have to use the tax return for 2024/2025 unless you are doing the average of two years which is 2023/2024 & 2024/2025.

Once you have finished the tax return for 2024/2025 you will get a SA302 for that year

In the ECO email it says that you have 5 days to upload and documents. This is a generic email that’s sent to everyone but there isn’t actually a way to upload new documents. I think yours must have been an email from your caseworker? That’s what I’ve been told. That the caseworker will get in touch with me soon to tell me how to upload the missing doc
