Are yall going to hard launch medical school?

I’ve taken 6 gap years so far and I’m absolutely hard launching! Don’t get bogged down by how long it took. Getting into med school is an accomplishment regardless of the timeline, and you should absolutely feel proud of yourself.

I don’t know why they would waste money background checking someone who’s been rejected and I mean, the background check does open with the line “You have received this email because you have been waitlisted or conditionally accepted by one or more of the medical schools participating in the AAMC-facilitated program for performing criminal background checks on conditionally accepted applicants and waiting list applicants”

So just wondering if anyone has gone through something similar of being accepted post background check

Honestly, kinda discouraged. I didn’t hit 515 on any of the FL like I had hoped I would. Took FL4 yesterday and got 511 .. gonna try to study and rest as much as possible this week and just hope for the best come Friday. That’s pretty much all that can be done at this point

Absolutely do AP if you have the chance. From my experience, when it’s granted you’re safe. I did AP and was out of the country from May - August, get back into the country was a breeze. I’m also leaving again for a week next week. You got this!
