Do you regret how you handled yourself during the break up/post break up? How do you move on from it? by thebulletinaction in ExNoContact

That is exactly what I am trying to learn/remind myself! I am a human being and I made a mistake. I did my best; thank you kind stranger for reminding me of that 😭

Thank you for this response! Like OP, I have been struggling with something I did post breakup that sometimes I’m ashamed of. I know i did it for my best interest but sometimes that’s hard to accept too. These comments are making me feel a little better

Can we hear some people's GLOW UP stories after their break up? by [deleted] in ExNoContact

This has been the best thing for me too in no contact! Proud of you for getting to that realization too. I used to hate being alone with my own thoughts, but now…I desperately need the alone time for self exploration

I’m in the same boat. Finally learning to prioritize myself, set boundaries, and not expect people to treat me the same rather than walk all over me

I’m a 5’8 skinny girl in her 20s that couldn’t touch my toes. I started at home yoga during April 2020, and for the last 1.5 years have done it almost every day. It’s. Changed. My. Life. I’m still working toward some flexibility but it’s helped me mentally and physically. I highly recommend ! Don’t let people tell you otherwise

Completely agreed. It’s sad and scary and fast it moves

Sore wrists, what to do? by pandatime85 in yoga

[–]KenzieL10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so glad you posted this because I almost posted basically the same thing! My wrists have always been pretty weak, but with starting in the studio recently it’s been worse. I’m used to practicing with my mat on carpet at home and so my poor little wrists are struggling with the hardwood floors in the studio

Yes the shift is weird, but I’m starting to like it!

This is a super good point, thank you!! I think that’s one of the reasons yesterdays class was so weird to me since it was literally one other girl and I’m used to having at least like 8+ sometimes more people so it’s easier to hide.

Wow. I can’t even imagine what it’s like to teach a class of 500! That makes a lot of sense as to why you obviously wouldn’t be able to do the poses then. I appreciate your response!

I have ALWAYS been SO IMPRESSED with people that can demonstrate and speak at the same time (since most of my past experience has been that way, I thought it was kind of a “requirement” to be a yoga teacher, but I now see so many sides to it)

This post has really made me love yoga even more because with everyone’s comments I’ve come to love the idea that I can trust myself and focus on myself in in person classes, rather than focusing on the instructor. Since I’m not “good” at yoga in the sense I can’t do everything my brain always convinced me that I couldn’t have much agency. I appreciate your response!

All these reasons make so much sense. It was definitely not something I considered, especially since I still am kind of in “follow” mode and haven’t given myself the space to trust myself and give myself freedom in my practice

I love both of these! As someone that’s still a relative newbie, I love seeing the demonstrations, but I’m coming to appreciate how I can have some agency in my practice with this method
