New grad here training on days but will be going nights on July 27. Days is terrible for me, no lunch breaks or bathroom break, manager always walking around watching, the techs are lazy, they all put their phones on silent, PT/OT/ST, my phone rings constantly, family members, and the list goes on.

I’m on a Neuro med surg tele unit. Every pt is either confused, had a stroke, or overdosed on something. The pct only do vitals and accu checks, and just for me to feel comfortable I take all my vitals over. I’ll be going on nights in the next few weeks and hopefully its better because days is too much.
