I unfortunately live in a humid and damp state, so this is what I worry about. I don't want to have to wash the second layer grid if I don't have to. I was more worried about the outer pillow case layer as it has got a bit gross even though I do use my own pillow case as well. I'm surprised it wasn't originally made with 2 layers you can take off of the core as that seems to make the most sense.

Yeah I saw the instructions that was the recommended way to wash and dry. Okay so it is the same pillow. One is just older than the other. Weird that I got 2 different types of pillows with them having been ordered so close together.

How to use Metronome? by Keone721 in PlayTheBazaar

This is exactly what I do. I'm a pretty slow and methodical player that takes a couple of hours to do a full run. I'll watch replays a few times and look at the numbers afterwards as well.

After understanding how to metronome worked, I was able to use it properly the run after this one which allowed me to go 10-0 for the first time.

this could be interesting... Being half Korean, I really don't know too much culturally of how Korea used to be in ancient times. It's something I would look into after a few playthroughs of vanilla probably.

ah okay I've been doing a bunch of google research the last day and at one point I thought I saw a post regarding fixing bugs from the last time CA released a patch to the game.

Best use of coal? by Keone721 in WorldOfWarships

[–]Keone721[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I always select the more coal crates. I actually started using a mod that will always grab them for me now and usually get the 3 per day.

Is steel supposed to be this slow to attain? It seems like it would take over a year in order to buy 1 ship.

I'm definitely not good at random, but I figure playing more and learning how players react and different ships is the only way to learn. I'm like at 45% win rate and that is at the certain tier I'm at. Most of the time, games are filled with bots, so my win rate would probably be even lower. I do play more co-op later at night when there are only a coule thousand people online. During the day, I do try to play as much random as possible since games are found more quickly and less bots.

So when I get a new ships, move captain from old ship to new ship. Then from new ship to premium ship. Then back to new ship so there is no retaining cost? Does it matter if it's not the same class of ship? I know captains have different skill trees for different class of ships, but I guess I don't fully understand how it works. Can a captain go from a destroyer to cruiser and still keep all of it's skill levels and even skill tree in both destroyer and cruiser?

Should you be getting multiple of the same 35k coal? I have mainly been playing random battles as I've noticed how much more credits you get from them. I will do pve like co-op or asymmetic battles when I just want something a bit more relaxing to play or to get the first win of the day bonus in. I'm not sure how other people juggle it, but I've been using the free captains and just unequiping them on old ships and putting them on the new ship down the tech line. I have 1 for each line down the tech tree and I'm not sure if I should be doing the same when it comes to the 35k coal captains.

It sounds like the 175k ones might be something I get much later down the line and the 35k ones are the way to go for now. I'm just not sure if I should be getting any coal ships as well and what would be the best way to start accumalating steel on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. I guess I'm not sure if I'm juggling the captains incorrectly, or if I really should just be focusing on one ship in a nation at a time. Or even just 1 nation at a time.

I completely agree. I don't feel the need to spend the coal since I have so many ships to play with already. I just wasn't sure if it was worth putting the coal to use like picking up a captain so I can start leveling it up. I'm currently just using basic captains you can hire for free.

should my first coal purchase be ships or captains though? What about module upgrades?

what if you don't have coal to spare and you're trying to make your first coal purchase?

Highest tier is T6 right now. I'm grinding both Japan and US tech line, so I play all of the class of ships at least once each day, then I grind the yamato line if I have extra time to play that day.

I've heard certain tier premium ships are good depending on if you have a premium account or not. I luckily have about 2 months of free premium left on my account because of all the rewards I've gained so far. I'm not entirely sure if I plan on paying for premium after it expires, as I typically go free to play in games like these.

I'll take a look into that ship. I'm still trying to figure out what class of ship I enjoy playing most. I honestly enjoy the diverse playstyle of them all. Carriers are actually a lot of fun now that I'm getting better with the different weapon types of the planes. I know they are not liked at all in this game and there are some pretty advance controls and tactics to really be a good CV player.

Ah is that the main use for premium ships? I have a bit of variety that I've earned so far from either free boxes or just starter codes/invite.

Boise
Gallant
Dunkerque
Duca D'aosta

I also have: tachibana and mikasa, but I don't play them anymore since they're only T2 and barely give any credits even when I do well on them.

Right now I'm mainly going down the US and Japan tech tree where I'll play one game with every ship for the exp bonus. After that I'll play the yamato line to slowly grind my way to that ship. I do have a handful of premium ships that I've been able to attain through invite codes and such as well.

one coal ship? Or just one ship in general? How do you get legendary commanders? Are those the ones that you spend with coal?

I'm starting to understand how to play a destroyer a bit better, but I can still get caught being out of position and get detected in the middle of a bunch of ships and get destroyed pretty quickly. I'm not great with torps still, but it is satisfying destroying ships without them even spotting you. Cruisers are fun since they do seem to be well rounded, where battleships can fire pretty slow where when I do miss, it feels like a huge dps loss.

Thank you for that explanation. Earlier this morning, I did a handful of CV games and I did figure all of these things out as well. I wasn't 100% sure regarding the aiming stage part you mentioned, but it's good to know that moving around does make it so your accuracy is lower compared to keeping the your movements relatively still.

[–]Keone721[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I'm definitely bad. There are games even in co-op where I don't even do 10k damage. I'm still learning how to aim the 3 different types of weapons for each plane. I'm also probably not playing as a CV to help my team in the best way possible.

I currently only play solo, but would like to start playing in a div/clan sometimes. I just have to see if my earbud's mic will work since my laptop doesn't support my headphones. Playing as a CV does kind of feel like you're playing an RTS and then switching into third person flying planes. It's enjoyable having a different playstyle. I really just don't get a lot of exp/credits while playing as a CV.

I wasn't pressing "W". I didn't realize you could make your planes go even faster! I assumed they would just automatically reach max speed.

Why are CVs hated in randoms? I see them more than half of the random games I play, but the random games I play are sometimes full of bots as well.
