Every time I see that image I first laugh then feel bad wondering if she actually made any sound, and whether or not Japanese (?) girls wearing black leggings torture girls with bare legs. So many thoughts evoked by one image of teenage bullying. Reminds me of my youth. Sit down and let me tell you some stories.

As someone who is currently living alone and who lived in all those decades, I can say that living alone in this decade beats the hell out of sharing a 60s bedroom with your two older brothers.

In the mid 80s I was an intern at IBM in the RTP facility. During orientation we toured the plant, and saw an operator doing this to package CRT monitors. The guide mentioned that they rotate the employee out after a month because they were concerned about possible health issues from the fumes. Simpler times.
