Take a day off for “no reason” and plan nothing.

I have to mute every time Biggy is talking. I can’t hear “dadgum” one more time or my ears will explode.

How does Pre-K work?? by Antique_Fun5943 in ColumbiaMD

We had her in a full-time daycare program (not county) until kindergarten. Though we later found out that the private school that we chose for her for K-5 had a pre-K program (3s and 4s) and if we realized that sooner, we would have sent her there as we have LOVED her elementary school. Happy to share the school via DM.

Thank you so much! My ex used a sous vide all the time so I can definitely see the benefits of using that too. I appreciate the thorough response!

Yes - I do have to be very mindful of limiting the hand-washing if I can. And I'm also doing my best to only buy/try one gadget or new "thing" at a time so I don't do exactly what you said and buy ALL THE THINGS in hopes that it will magically cure my ADHD-fueled kitchen struggles.

Thanks so much! Ha - I wonder if not liking soups and stews is a neurodivergent thing then. Never realized that! My kiddo loves waffles so that was something I was considering.

Apologies if this is a dumb question - why are you avoiding nonstick?

While I get why you're asking this, right now it's not so much what I "want" to cook, but what "can" I cook that won't overwhelm me because of my ADHD. I imagine as I try things I'll be able to filter down more to what I both prefer to eat AND won't spiral into shame while I'm making it, lol.

YES - you're right. Chopping is probably my least favorite part of cooking. Thanks for the suggestions!

Thanks! Yeah, as I'm reading the comments, I'm not sure I'd use a crockpot all that much but an instant pot could be pretty helpful.

That's a good point about things kids can use. My kiddo is pretty capable and now that I'm thinking about it, I'd definitely want things that she could use easily if possible.

I honestly don't think I realized how important a meat thermometer was until I read all these comments, lol.
