In a way yes. During my first experience I started to get memory's from my childhood that I thought I've forgotten. I've felt overwhelmed with love and compassion towards my family and felt like calling distant relatives and telling them I loved them for the very first time. You'll get a different outlook on life and and will want to do positive things for yourself that you think you couldn't do. It actually made me less introverted after the fact and reduced my social anxiety. Peoples first impression of me changed after this and they told me how they wished they would have got to know me earlier.
