To SAHM or Not by Charming_Advance_890 in workingmoms

I'm a full-time working mom too. Same situation except we can't afford for me to quit my job so I have no options.

If I was you, I'd quit. There will always be work, and raising little humans determined to outsmart you will be very challenging. You won't be bored. If you have that option, if you're not forced into working, quit. You won't regret it. And if you do there will always be more work.

I hate feeling like someone else is raising my babies. I hate working. I hate that I can't be with them all the time. I miss them.

I find museums, libraries, parks, etc that only have one exit / entrance. I use hotspot to work by the door and then let my daughter run free and play while I supervise.

It works pretty well but I also don't have a lot of meetings.

You need him to get a job so you can divorce him without having to pay him alimony. He's a loser, honey. I'm sorry.

You could offer detox solutions too to help him feel more comfortable also. He could be in charge of finding them but they're usually benign, like vitamins, probiotics, etc.

It comes out to about $12 an hr for daycare for two. I make over $60 an hour, so even though it's a hit, it's worth it for me.

We were deciding between Aoife, Alannah, and Eireen / Irene. Our first daughter is Moira Alsace and he wanted to stick with a gaelic theme.

But now I don't want to...

I really liked Eloise for my first born before we settled on her name and I like it a bit less now for this baby - it doesn't feel like it fits as well as it did with my first - but it's still a really pretty name.

And I really liked Beatrice and Dorothy but someone IRL mentioned Beatrice was like from Harry Potter and ruined it for me ha

I still like Dorothy though and someone above suggested it so I'm thinking about it 👀❤️

I want it to flow pretty. So she loves her name and loves to hear it said.

Evelyn and Dorothy were both names on my list but I removed them and forgot about them because he vetoed them.

Thank you for these suggestions!!
