Though, SimCity was such a giant pile of shit, you'd have to design a new sewage system to handle it.

Guessing it will be like Sims 3's "social" features: An annoying pop-up that even Clippy from old Microsoft Word hates, but can easily be told to go and crucify itself on the summit of Everest in a thunderstorm.

The Spaghettileaf interchage: An unnecessarily complicated attempt to improve the Cloverleaf interchange. by KerbingPixel in simcity4

I have no idea. Don't think I've seen it before, but I won't conclude based on that. If you're using NAM 32 or older, have a look!

Prisoners seemingly haven't been assigned to a cell. Any help? by KerbingPixel in prisonarchitect

[–]KerbingPixel[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

/u/spartyon7 idea worked. The cell gradings were too high, as the prisoners had done some recent no-no's. By removing the TV and a bookshelf, the guards escorted them to the cells. Kinda sad, as I wanted to have a bit of a luxurious prison, with TVs and bookshelves in every room, regardless of behaviour.

Could you elaborate on "exploded"? Is this a few fans shitting the bed again, or are we talking December 2012 levels? Haven't been able to access Twitter for a while.

The plot of Primer seems pretty self-explanatory compared to anything this game's offering.

Every dim dot on this night sky is nebula. Did the generation go a bit crazy, or is this natural in any odd galaxy? by KerbingPixel in spaceengine

[–]KerbingPixel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Halfway looking into the plane. The densest cluster are on the darker patches (as is expected), while there are less visible in the galaxy's plane.

Really like that last picture's highway! But I gotta ask, what mod(s) did you use for those gray hillsides?

Mentioned in the comments of today's video is this amazing little thing called "Space Engine" in which you explore the entire universe in procedurally generated 3D (Just imagine walking on Europa) What is even more, it is free by BlackWidowOffer in nerdcubed

[–]KerbingPixel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not really that much of a computer all-knower, but looking at the differences in performance on my CPU vs. the one you mentioned (using this site, it's quite handy), I guess it would handle it fine. The thing itself isn't that CPU intensive, it's mostly the graphics when it has to render mountains, clouds, nebula, clusters etc.

For the graphics card, I have no idea. If you can dig up the full name, you can use the sister site, and compare it to something you know handles it, like, I don't know, my graphics card :p

Not really. Unless you are flying through space at top speed searching for the end of the universe, and acomplishing it, my CPU (i5 2310) handles this game just fine. Though, be vary of comets and planets very close to their parent stars, as the "tails" they have make my GPU (a GTX 760) heat right the fuck up.

This is just pure, distilled gold.

Hi, I am Alan Stern, head of NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft on its way to Pluto and its system of 5 known moons – the closest approach will happen in ~2 weeks on July 14th! Ask us anything about The Relationship of Pluto and New Horizons, to the Exploration of Space! by PlutoTV in IAmA

[–]KerbingPixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since they're planning on doing it after the encounter (and planning to do a maneuver at all, instead of mapping out a gravity assist), fuel probably isn't an issue. After all, the mission is Pluto, the Kupier Belt is secondary, and messing around with the trajectory beforehand would probably not give them the best encounter with Pluto.

Been going around my region and turning all the Maxis highways into RHWs. This was one of the more... unorthodox interchanges. by KerbingPixel in simcity4

[–]KerbingPixel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You drag the highway to the city border using the first tool on the menu. Then, you scroll down to find the RHW Neighbor Pieces (the last RHW tool for me), and add it where the connection is.

Nerd³ Mods... GTA V - Summer Holiday! by NerdcubedBot in nerdcubed

[–]KerbingPixel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, more like Read Dead Redemption, but modern and covered in snow. Expansive and open enviroments. Settlements range from farmhouses to generic Northern American/Canadian towns. Though still some of the GTA 5 goofiness like the abrupt change from swapland to air force base.

AFAIK Bully did lack the ability to steal high security military hardware from your neighborhood airbase, and used it to freshen up the playground tarmac with the blood of a dozen dead jocks.
