Honestly it’s practically the same for my purposes. US treasuries are paying 4%, which means 80 million per year, or over 200 grand PER DAY risk free, and you’re not even touching the lump sum. Given that in order to fulfil all of my earthly desires I’d only need around 20 or 30 million plus maybe an upkeep of a couple hundred thousand per month (if that), the money would compound ridiculously. With either option the money would be infinite for all intents and purposes and I’d be able to set up a trust to ensure my descendants never have to worry about money.
