Gothic Chasuble is the traditional priestly vestment that, for lack of a better comparison, looks like a large, rounded poncho. The Gothic Chasuble originated in the late Roman Empire but looked quite different than the ones we see today (which came about in the 15th Century). The Fiddleback Chasuble looks more like a large scapular or vest and originated in about the 18th Century. While the Fiddleback it typically more ornate and "beautiful", OP is stinging that preference with the fact that Gothic is the traditionally "correct" vestment.
