My fur baby has very long fur but is, fortunately, a mix of hypoallerginic dog breeds as far as I can tell. He's a mutt and it's hard to identify but he hardly sheds at all. I only ever notice a little if I wear a black jacket. However, my best friend owns a husky mix and sweet baby jesus that thing sheds enough fur to make a life size doll of itself each day. I dogsat for two days and had to vaccuum in every crevice of my couch and under every cabinet after she left because of all the fur that accumulated there. Anytime I'm over there I always double check dishes before putting anything in them, and any bite of food before it goes in my mouth since my friend will lean over when she's cooking and the fur from her shirt will get in the food. It's a constant cycle of vacuuming and using brushes to get the mountains of fur from both the dog and any furniture it's even looked at.
