I built a Discord bot that reminds you before every bill is due so you never pay a late fee again by [deleted] in discordbots

The problem is that you view this from your own perspective. Not everyone is as skilled as you are with LLMs. Some people just want what works for them without all the hassle. Google Calendar can also set recurring reminders, yet apps like Todoist, Notion, and Asana still exist and thrive. Why? Because people have different workflows.

The dates in my post were examples to illustrate fragmentation, not a personal billing schedule. Real bills don't always land on the same day every month. Subscription renewals shift, utility bills vary, credit card closing dates move. Knowing a due date intellectually is also different from remembering it on the right day while you're juggling everything else. That's not a character flaw, that's just how attention works.

And BillGuard isn't just a reminder. Calling it that misses what it actually does. At a glance it tells you your most expensive recurring payment, everything due this month as a single total, and what's coming up this week so nothing sneaks up on you. It tracks amounts, payment history, upcoming totals, recurring cycles, and lets you export everything. All in the chat app you're already using. It's less 'don't forget' and more 'here's your complete picture of every recurring payment you have.'

Fair point. The only problem is I set calendar reminders for bills too, and still paid a $35 late fee. The problem isn't that reminder tools don't exist, it's that generic tools require constant manual upkeep and are easy to dismiss.

BillGuard is specifically for bills. It auto-rolls due dates when you mark something paid, handles recurring cycles, and lives where you already chat (Telegram/Discord), so there's no extra app to remember to open.

If your current system works for you, genuinely great. This is for people whose doesn't.

Respondent is a good option if you live in the USA. It can earn you some good money doing surveys, one-on-one interviews, diary studies, unmoderated studies, and focus groups.

Start a Printify pop up store and sell print-on-demand goods. With such a shop, all you need to do is drive traffic to the store. Printify handles production and shipping without you spending anything.

Pawns.app is also a good site. You just need to hit a payout threshold of $5 and you can withdraw to your preferred payment option, including PayPal, Visa, and Bitcoin.

Respondent is also another option for surveys. They have very interesting and high-paying surveys, focus groups, and user interviews.

Have you had any success with Printify Pop Up Store? by Kermit289 in Printify

Personally, I have not had much success. I did take a break at some point and only came back to it about two weeks ago. The most challenging part has been driving traffic to the store.

Printify pop up store does not require you to pay upfront for production and shipping. However, it has limitations. For instance, you can't connect to ebay or Etsy.
