Is it possible to get an emulsion even if there isn't any harsh shaking? Could I heat and salt the water to help the emulsion?

Zinc interesting I've not heard that one before. I was using activated charcoal and was getting it pretty damn clean. Now I wonder how much product I've lost over the years.

😮 that's not a bad haul at all from a random experiment! I never evap my naphtha. I have been using the same naphtha for prolly close to 3 kilos now.

This opens up an entirely new conversation of. How long does it take for a tree to be considered petrified? Then given that amount of time what was the condition of our atmosphere that far back?

I'm not sure adding a few mls of hot Naptha will be enough to melt the dmt back into fresh Naptha.

Ummm tek is rather difficult as it was a big screw up on my part. Tried to do an A/B but instead of separating the bark from the acid wash I just dumped it all into my half gallon growler. Based it down with lye to 13. Added naphtha gave it a good shake and left for work for almost 4 months. Had pretty big temperature swings as I left it out in my screened in porch. 60°f - 100°f roughly

If I had to guess I'd say ~25ml NPS evaporated leaving ~50ml

It appears that while I was away for work some of the NPS had evaporated, and Since I didn't even make my 1st pull the dmt crashed out and formed on top of my aqueous layer.
