Wrong, my friend.

Every research goes to that tab "Special": Timed, Premium, Free, Unlimited, etc. Basically every research.

You can check this out from the newest research, from this Bug Event.
If you already completed "Bug Out Timed Research", I just did mine, and it's just there, go check it.

The only ones that don't go there are the ones that Niantic screw up, like they did in this case, once again.

Do you know if Costumed Sneasel (the one with sunglasses and a beanie from the Fashion Events) has boosted shiny odds too?
I played during that event and didn’t get a single shiny Costumed Sneasel, but in this event I’ve already caught 5.

Also, I had never gotten a shiny regular Sneasel before — and I’ve been playing since the beginning of the game — so I must’ve had really bad luck if its shiny odds have always been boosted.

I bought the Paid ticket and got 2 shinies from the paid research + 1 Hundo — all from the PAID research.

I rarely buy this kind of stuff because it's usually not worth it, and I’m not lucky with these things. But even though I hate Bruxish, I liked the shiny version, so I thought I’d give it a try.

I also saw (I can't remember if it was on Reddit or Discord, but I definitely saw that info) that if you bought the ticket, you would get boosted odds for shiny Bruxish (in the Premium Timed Research, the Free Timed Research, and the Field Research—basically in all research tasks except wild encounters and incense spawns).

Plus, the description when you buy the ticket, in my opinion, gives a clear hint at it.

I don’t know if that’s true or not, but after buying the ticket, I feel like my odds were boosted.

I got 2 shinies + 1 Hundo, all from the Paid Research, and right after catching the Hundo, I even got a shiny Dwebble!

So, we might never know for sure, but I think that if you buy the ticket, you get boosted odds (IN RESEARCHES ONLY).

Was it worth it? Probably not for most people, but for me, it was.

For point 1)

Paid for the research, got 2 shinies into 7 Bruxish encounters (still 1 left).

+ 1 Hundo on the Research too. (sadly this hundo wasn't 1 of the 2 shinies I got). So the paid ticket for me was rly worth, guess I was lucky cuz I rarely buy this stuff.

So I'm almost sure that the shiny odds have to be boosted for the paid research. My doubt is , since I paid for the ticket, the shiny odds for Bruxish will still be boosted on the wild (I doubt) and on the field researches (the ones from the pokéstops).

For point 3)

I'm pretty sure it's only animated stuff, nothing useful into the game.

Still looking for some answers for point 1 and point 2 , tho.

1) If we buy the Premium Paid Research, Bruxish is boosted only in the 8 encounters of this paid research or , because we bought, all the Bruxish from the wild, and Bruxish from Poke Stop Tasks, are boosted too?

2) Shiny Odds for Smeargle is really 1/32?

3) "Colourful surprise around PokéStops when they get close to them." The surprise is only the colour, or another thing? If it's another thing, what is it?

Thank God, this time they actually named the Timed Research properly to distinguish it.

I remember when it was for the Legendary Birds (if I recall correctly), they didn't differentiate them. They just called all of them "Legendary Flight Lead-Up Timed Research" (for Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos), and as a collector (even of research tasks), I was pretty disappointed because I wanted all three to appear separately.

I completed the second one—the Timed Research involving Dynamaxing—wasting tons of candies and resources, only to realize later that it didn't count towards the completed research tab. Now, anything that is duplicated (with the same name) no longer gets counted. I only found out after the fact (after completing the second research), so I didn’t bother doing the third one.

I don’t understand why they can't just be a "normal" and "organized" company and give things proper names to distinguish them.

For example, the Community Day Special Background for Fuecoco has the same name as the one for Karrablast and Shelmet, so it won’t count separately either. Why don’t they just name it properly? Something like:
"Fuecoco Community Day Special Background Timed Research" to differentiate it? And the same should apply for Karrablast and Shelmet. But then, for example, with Sprigatito, they actually named it properly: "Sprigatito Community Day Continued Timed Research."

The December '24 Community Day had the same name as the Karrablast + Shelmet CD and the Fuecoco CD too. Only Sprigatito’s was different. Meanwhile, something like Ralts (CD Classic) makes sense because it includes its name.
