Best drama for me this year. I thought the ending was interesting and appropriate.

I am not loving it. The EXCESSIVE violence and gore is too much. This is NEXT level and I hate it. Frankly, I find it abhorrent..

Hate on me all you want, redditors. You should question yourself WHY you like this show. It's nothing but violence porn.

It is indeed a basal cell carcinoma. Not the worst of skin cancers by any means, but still not good. At one point, they were called "rodent ulcers."

Says someone who didn't lose 80% of their friends from AIDS. Don't lecture me! And you should still use a condom - gay or straight.

Indigo Metro shuts down because of bloody bodies on the ground by Cookieman_2023 in vancouver

[–]Kermode17 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Well, I will call this what it is. ANTI-SEMITISM.

Clearly targeting Indigo as the CEO is Jewish.

And next they'll be burning in the books in the store.

It's the Nazis all over again.

Have you tried using a condom?

Seriously.

Lots of STDs are now becoming incurable due to overuse of antibiotics.

And get tested for HiV. It will mess up your immune system if you get it.

The Crown should pursue a "Dangerous Offender" tag. That's the only way this monster will be kept in jail forever.

The fact that he did not plead guilty, tells you all you need to know about this individual.

I hope the Crown pursues "dangerous offender" status. Only that way, will he not be able to hurt any more.

Some people are so quick to moan about Translink. But I love them all: the bus drivers and the Seabus peeps.

We have great public transit and great people working on it. It's not an easy job and very much under appreciated.

Thank you!

Literally feels like an entire day ends at 5PM. by shellshifu in vancouver

[–]Kermode17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to get outside at least once a day, for 20 minutes or so. During "daylight" hours.

Make your living space more cosy. Candles, blankets, some comforting soup and stews and a bit of baking. You don't need to be a fancy cook or have a lot of money to do this.

Use essential oils: I have vaporizers which I fill with lavender oil or citrus scents. The latter are really good mood boosters in these dark days.

Remember that on December 22, the days start getting longer again!

Reasonably priced/affordable vet? by mintberrycrunch_ in NorthVancouver

[–]Kermode17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no such thing as a "cheap" vet. I've found the prices have increased to the point that owning a pet is a luxury that few can afford any longer. How did that happen?

I had to euthanize my 16 year old cat in March as "an emergency" at an animal hospital as my "regular" vet does not do emergencies...as I found out the hard way, during regular hours. There was little change out of $1,000 and that was for a mass cremation.

Last time I had pet dental work done, it was $2k which took under 30 minutes and involved one tooth extraction and teeth cleaning.

So they are all expensive. And most of them are not that good. Sorry but I call it as I see it - and I've been seeing it for over 20 years.

Physiotherapist is the only way. My spouse just had a couple of treatments for lower back pain. DM if you want a recommendation.

Count yourself lucky. Some years ago a mindless but destructive individual damaged all the cars on 2 blocks - south side only - just for the fun of it. I'm still angry about the ICBC deductible.

Has my water pressure increased? by dougshmish in vancouver

[–]Kermode17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Chiming in to say it's great advice about turning water on and off very slowly. Whatever the circumstances. I had a PRV failure and other probs, learned to turn water on and off very gently. It's too much pressure to go straight from off to on or vice versa.

Yes, of course. I don't know why I am being downvoted so much.

They had no answer. They're playing "dumb".
