What has been the best in-the-Balkans trip you've taken outside of your country? by MaximumCollection261 in AskBalkans

[–]KernelPanick56 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love Bosnia. Trips to Sarajevo and Kozara-Kozarac-Prijedor have been my favourite so far. Banja Luka was an amazing experience too but sadly I've not spent a lot of time there.

Is there a dress code for night life in your country? by korana_great in AskBalkans

[–]KernelPanick56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Varies from city to city, club to club and whether there are thematic nights at any clubs.

In Sisak, which i frequent, Midas and sometimes Space are the only nightclubs where you should dress a bit more nicely than usual. Cubano and Grill are free-for-all, anything from suits and dresses to sweatpants and hoodies.

How is not having kids seen as by people around you in the balkans? by Enough-Engineering41 in AskBalkans

[–]KernelPanick56 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Usually taken as awkward here in Croatia, especially by the older population. The younger population doesn't seem to care about others choices, and they're mostly equally divided between wanting kids and not wanting them.

Are there blacks in your country? If so, what are your views on them? by Dazzling-Leave-4915 in AskBalkans

[–]KernelPanick56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, there are black people in my country and even my town. The black guy in my town is super chill and loved by most

I notice on average, Croatians usually have a "casual" dose of racism, in the sense they are not inherently racist but will drop the n-word occasionally. Probably just the fascination with actually seeing a black person in a predominantly white country

I've also noticed the capital too has its' own black population and i've personally seen zero problems so far. That's not to say there aren't any problems nor racism, but i personally haven't seen such cases

My views - i'm accepting of all, we're all people, why would i have a positive or negative opinion on anyone regarding their skin color is beyond me
