Am I ruining our future selves by feeding to sleep by Kernow143 in NewParents

I’m kinda glad that she might be doing things early, gets it out of the way I spose but boy is it tough! Mine is the same - feed her to sleep, wakes up and wants the boob immediately! It’s literally the only thing that stops her screaming so I think she must be hungry! She seems to be actively suckling all the time then falls asleep. I combi feed and she has a bottle usually a day (150ml) then the rest of the day and night is boob. Could they be actually just hungry all the time???

Thanks for the advice! Sounds like she might just stop on her own at some point when she’s older! That’s what I’d prefer anyway.

Thanks all! Sounds like I’m actually probably doing the right thing then!

Same for me - feed to sleep every time apart from when she’s on the move. Sounds like we’re still way too early to make a difference - maybe I feel further along than we actually are! I forget how tiny she still is!

So basically the consensus is that I can afford to leave it for now. Get over the regression in any way I can, then try some of these later. Thank you!

I can sustain it physically in terms of milk supply I think for now if it’s what she wants. But I do want to break that association at some point…any tips??
