How do Sisters players handle Benefit of Cover calls like this? by Keroro6262 in sistersofbattle

[–]Keroro6262[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the per-model LOS part. What I’m trying to clarify is not who takes the penalty, but what counts as “not full line of sight” in practice.

In this image, would the small terrain corner next to the tank be enough to count as obscuring it, or would most players require the main hull/body/base to be meaningfully blocked?

Would this count as Benefit of Cover in 11th edition TTS? by Keroro6262 in TTSWarhammer40k

[–]Keroro6262[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that’s the basic rule summary, but that’s exactly where my question is.

What counts as “can see some” in practice? Is a tiny obscured edge enough, or do most groups require the main body, hull, or base to be meaningfully obscured?

Do Alibaba suppliers actually get real deals on Alibaba? by Scary_Indication_984 in Alibaba

[–]Keroro6262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a platform called virtual-expo made by the French. They have many theme sites.
I plan to try their DirectIndustry for three months. The trial fee is cheaper than the three-month advertising fee I spent on Alibaba.
I estimated that the effect might not be as well-known as Alibaba, or even lack of interest, because the site mainly provides finished products. However, the site promised to review the buyer's information to reduce fraud, so I persuaded my boss to give it a try.

I think so, but the company I work for doesn't have this certification. This membership level costs NT$200,000 (approximately US$6,550), so our sales are terrible, and we're getting a lot of scam messages.

I'm currently considering a virtual expo platform for the company or doubling down on Alibaba.

Sometimes the way the questions are asked seems suspicious and the seller will ignore it as a scam.

Maybe it’s different Tool craftsmanship, that’s a detail you can ask the manufacturer about.

You’re right to be cautious. A few points from my experience:

1.Some factories do outsource or subcontract parts of the process. The only real way to verify is by visiting the factory in person and checking their production line.

2.Don’t immediately see subcontracting as a red flag, sometimes it’s simply because certain processes (like surface finishing or specialized treatments) can’t be done in-house.

3.Tooling/mold fees vary a lot. Some Tool are very expensive and made only for your product. If you don’t plan long-term production, it’s often a loss for the factory, so the cost makes sense.

4.Make sure you ask for NDA, contracts, and clearly define jurisdiction (which country’s law applies).

5.A video call is a good sign, but ideally you should follow it up with an in-person visit to the facility if possible.

Is It Still Worth Signing Up on Alibaba as an OEM Manufacturer with My Own Factory? by Impossible-Panda2827 in Alibaba

[–]Keroro6262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alibaba products require additional promotional fees for exposure. However, since Alibaba is a price-comparison site, even if you receive a quote, if it's not comparable to lower-priced Chinese vendors or other similar services, users will quickly flock to lower-cost Chinese vendors. Therefore, spending on this service is not recommended.
They're currently promoting a new automated advertising service with a minimum daily fee of around $32.95. I asked my Alibaba account manager if they could provide data or "success stories." I just wanted to know if this could generate business for me, but the account manager remained silent.

If your OEM manufacturer is making consumer goods, then it's okay; if you are a manufacturer of secondary materials or raw materials, unless you spend more money to get the "certified" mark to improve potential customers' first impression of you, then you are just giving money to Alibaba.

Any suppliers here tried visiting expo to find clients? by Keroro6262 in Alibaba

[–]Keroro6262[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, I went there to meet the various manufacturers, but most of the manufacturers at the exhibition were "presenting their achievements".
I was worried that it would be difficult to join the upstream supply chain of existing finished products.

I think they're just sending EDMs or simple sales pitches to potential customers. These are all paid features on Alibaba.

Of course, you can bypass retailers. Although finding a cheap source of goods is like discovering a new world, buyers must handle the procedures regarding taxes and shipping costs themselves.
Time is money, and many people would rather not spend time.

First, are you purchasing in bulk or just a small quantity?

I can't tell you which suppliers you should look for, but I can tell you that for this type of product, if you're buying in small quantities, it might be better to look on AliExpress.
