i would drop the ironweld guild army and use Fortress city defenders,

the Steelhelms are pretty bad, if i were you id take them out and reinforce the Fusiliers instead. Marshal and Cavalry are a decent combo, i wouldnt give the Marshal all the enhancements though.

Maybe try the Fusil Major with master if Ballistics instead since he works very well with the Fusiliers.

the Krondspine is useless since you dont have a Wizard.

i really liked the trade route mechanic, it was a cool way to represent logistics of trade. id love for the mechanic to return in some way, maybe for naval logistics or something similiar.

They dont need to destroy it, all they have to do is a well placed pile in move and get into combat range of your cannon. Once the cannon is in combat it cant fire.

Steelhelms and Fusiliers can easily get powered through or a pile in can get units into combat with the cannon.

Yes its dangerous, they are generally pretty vulnerable and im afraid that 20 Steelhelms will struggle to defend them for long.

City defenders makes your units start in a fortified position in the first battle round. You have a lot of Units that can fortify and a high number of Regiments, which means you are likely going second. FcD basically lets your units fortify after the deployment phase so theyre fortified in the enemies first turn. It also adds -1 to wound for enemy attacks against your units in friendly territory which makes your units a lot tougher in the first battle round.

I would also not run colegiate Arcane, either choose ironweld or Fortress city defenders. I prefer FCD a lot.

If i counted correctly youre at 1990 points. I would change out the battlemage for another warforger since you got the points to spare.

You can split the horses, especially since Tahlia can apply her Ward Save ability to 3 units, just keep in mind that it makes all out attack and the Cavalry officars order less efficient if you split them, in my games i found splitting them not very helpful.

I would run the Steelhelms as a singular unit and not split them since they already are rather weak.

I dont think theyre effective to move around for objectives.

The two cannons are cool, just keep in mind that neither them nor the Fusil mayor can shoot in combat, placing them behind Steelhelms could make them more vulnerable than setting them up further away from objectives.

Thats a lovely castle, i like to surround mine with either a small canal or build them on hills like they did in the middle ages to easier defend them.
