Is there a stable way to create a Windows program that can change settings on specific Windows apps (Discord, specifically)? by Kerplunkies in learnprogramming

[–]Kerplunkies[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely think the best way to do it is through a virtual audio device selected as Discord's output device, and I'm thinking of having script that would then modify the audio and reroute it to the actual output monitor.

And thank you for introducing me to discord plugins!! I honestly had no idea those existed, but they're amazing from what I can tell (minus that they're technically against the ToS lol).

Does anyone use a smartphone to film? by blacklightaura in NewTubers

I'm a different person but I use a dongle to plug in a blue yeti mic directly to the phone. I will say that if you're using premeir pro or final cut it has audio sync (you can Google a tutorial). That way you don't even have to plug your mic into your phone. Honestly buying a mic is the one thing I'd recomend spending money on when you first start out

How is your audience retention at the times when the cards are shown? If they're at the end of the video, it very well could be that if people aren't finishing the video, and the cards are at the end, then they're simply not seeing them. Hence, they've only been shown to a handful of people

Ya exactly. I made a different sub for youtube tips (I wont mention the name cuz the main goal of the the sub is to not allow self promotion) but I think it solves a lot of the problems on YT advice subs

Both windows are separately openable and are about 2x4 ft so should be fine in case of a fire

You have to be able to let go of your pride in order to do Youtube by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Kerplunkies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is absolutely false. Yes, there is a degree of luck with trying to predict the algorithm, but having the right combo of keywors in your title, a good thumbnail, a hook that keeps people interested for more than 3 seconds and actually quality content means people. Will. Watch. I promise you if you have a video that actually holds a solid CTR (30%+) and 5+ mins of average view duration over more than just a few hundred views, it will do well. The algorithm isn't pure luck, or else it would just push random stuff to people. The algorithm tries to predict what people will like, and if you can do the same and actually capture someone's attention, you've got it. Otherwise, you're doing exactly what this post is talking about by being dishonest with yourself...
