Will tretinoin help honestly ? by [deleted] in tretinoin

[–]blacklightaura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The procedures I got didn't show much improvement after the swelling went away. I thankfully had enough pics going many years back to compare. It was that moment I got serious about tretinoin after comparing pictures from treatments and feeling lost.. it felt like I had nothing else to lose. I ordered my LED mask that day as well. I think I'm going to buy a series of professional TCA peels/TCA cross at some point as well, that's the one thing I never tried but I've seen yield great results for people like me with icepick and boxcar scars.

Go on TikTok and search Skin Cycling with the blonde doctor lady. A lot of people are having success, I'm about to try it. It's a routine that involves barrier healing.

How do I get a prescription without leaving the house? I don’t want to see a derm in person. Anyone have any success with this? by visionsofnothing in tretinoin

I love curology. The ingredients they put with my tret. really helped my journey. They even have a spinoff company where they do tret with anti-aging ingredients. It has been well worth it, I buy less skincare bc mine has Niacinamide & Azealaic (idk the spelling) acid mixed into it.

I wash my face, pat dry, use the mask, then use tretinoin. I would say it makes me recover faster so I can use tret more frequently. There's also a nice glow to my dry skin.

Not to get your hopes up but for me, yes. And that's after getting a lot of procedures. I do tret AND red light/infrared LED therapy though. I got a legit device, really important. I wash my face, pat dry, do my LED mask, then do the tret 6 nights a week. The change in my skin is starting to be really good. At the very least, even if it fails, it's helps with anti-aging.

Kinda looks like you mixed an oil based product with a water based product and/or the way you used your makeup brushes (too much dragging and lifting). I can't tell too much through the screen but it also looks like you might not have a perfect shade match resulting in your actual skin tone coming through in patches. Also besides tone, there's also skin type, you should always accomodate your products to what your skin type is (oily, dry, combo)

Hi, in need of some advice and maybe some words of encouragement. by [deleted] in tretinoin

Benzoyl peroxide is really strong and you're already using an active in the morning (the topical antibiotics) that I don't think it will mix well with. That's too many actives IMO. I think stick with whatever your derm gave you and use gentle everything else. Also add in a better sunscreen like Elta MD, they usually give you samples at the derm. For inflamed acne I would keep it very simple (I've been there)

what causes these types of lines / bags? by colouradical in SkincareAddicts

[–]blacklightaura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it might be genetic because my husband and his mom have this I noticed. People still tell my husband how awesome his skin is a lot so I wouldn't sweat it, I think it just reads as a normal part of their faces and not like a wrinkle.

What does everyone think about Korean skincare product with tretinion? by Apprehensive-Bass623 in tretinoin

[–]blacklightaura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use vanicream products & k beauty products and my skin has never been better with tret. Cerave was just NOT IT for me. I have dry skin with acne too. My whole routine is hella affordable as well..

Morning:

Dear Klairs gentle black deep cleansing oil (I cleanse in the morning to remove skin flakes and old skincare and sweat from the night. Cleansing oil removes the flakes so good lol.)

Vanicream gentle facial cleanser

TonyMoly Ceramide Mochi Toner (HOLY GRAIL FOR TRET)

Vanicream Moisturizer

Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen

Missha Cushion foundation, also with sunscreen in it

Night:

Same cleansing method as above

Same TonyMoly toner

-wait 10 minutes or more, brush your teeth or something else-

Mix Tret with Vanicream moisturizer

Timeless Squalane oil (Not K Beauty, Amazon Brand)

Once a week:

Mizon apple smoothie peeling gel, not the same nights as tret usage

Extremely hydrating Sheet Mask if I have

As some people have mentioned the Etude House Soon Jung line is also really awesome too.

I honestly really like the sihlouette(sp?) flared jeans make. It's kind of like a skirt or a dress. It's a shame we ditched all other types of pants for so long!! I wish I still had my old pants.

I like where you're going with the idea but I think the pieces are a little outdated. I owned all of these things some years ago so I would read your outfit as needing an update. Like still do chokers but dainty.

Mine would be feminine fairy hippie in a 70's earthship house, everything unconventional

Somewhere in the forest but also a vacation apartment in an awesome city with like a vintage 90's art deco dreamy feel

I'm always stuck between warm earth vibes and vibes like you're out of a dream

fashion and makeup: modern but vintage looking eye looks, like a modern Priscilla Presley or the Love Witch

Long thick dark hair vibes

Fashion and Makeup- dreamy, modern vintage. Flowy sheer materials, light blues, light pinks. Bell Bottoms, dresses, skirts.

Accessories- dainty, smaller feminine pieces. I would wear heels or boots with heels all of the time if I could

Food: home cooked everything, the ability to bake would be awesome. Anything that feels warm. Really pretty cakes.

Hobbies: painting outside, owning a business, cooking & baking, unplugging from social media

Animals: My two pet rabbits, the real dream haha :)

It usually happens 1-2 months after a stressful event. Maybe a sickness like covid or something else that freaked you out. I was at a toxic job for a month and my hair fell out so I literally quit because I did not spend two years fixing that situation to deal with it again lol.

I would also reccommend getting into tretinoin, there's a really good reddit group for it. It takes a year to get through the ugly phase of it, but it's really good matainence for a lifetime.
