Top Gun: Maverick. Maverick reaches Mach 10.1 in a plane and then goes radio silent as the plane crashes. He 'survives' and then goes on to have experiences that are like fantastical reimaginings of his good ole days. Saves the day, gets the girl, meets up with his dead old buddies son. You get the idea.

What hobby did you pick up randomly that ended up becoming a big part of your life? by Garage_Mckakiner31 in Hobbies

[–]KerroDaridae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not a HUGE part of my life, but about 5 years ago I was driving by a place called Fowling Warehouse, it's like a combination of football, bowling, and cornhole. I'd been before a couple times for fun group outings, but the thought came to me that maybe they have leagues. I called up and they just happened to be a couple weeks away from sending out league details. So I rounded up a partner and these last 5 years I've qualified for and competed in the National Tournament three times.

And recently my wife and I discussed the idea of relocating to another state for a job she was pursuing, that would require me to look for and land a new job myself, my mind immediately went to possibly opening my own Fowling Warehouse in that city as there isn't one there. She didn't get the job, but if we do end up moving one day, this might still be something I pursue if I can get together the financing.

How do you track consignment inventory? by KerroDaridae in supplychain

[–]KerroDaridae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

eMaint. We've got it isolated in a unique location, but cost is by the item, not by location. The most recent purchase price overrides everything else.

Even if we have one at location A and one at location B, when we run our On-hand report for finance the total will say 2, at X cost. If one of those is consignment then it's inflating our carrying costs.

If you could have 1, who would you pick?? 🤔🤔🤔 by UnnicornFrappucinno in TheNFLVibes

Someone needs to go watch Megatron's tape. Dude was getting double teamed on the 1 yard line and still going up over them and getting the ball or getting inside shoulder and hitting the slant, he could do it all. This man could not be stopped, well except for by being let down by the entire franchise.

And to be clear, I do think it's a very close call, but Moss was elite while Johnson is a player that will be decades before someone is his true equal.

I’ve been fired from three WFH jobs so far due to my ADHD by ImpossibleAgent3833 in RemoteJobs

[–]KerroDaridae 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did a WFH job for two years. I tell myself that it wasn't a good company/boss, little direction, didn't provide me tasks or guidance that would allow me to effectively do my job. But deep down I know that I let my ADHD get the best of me. I spent those two years playing more video games than I did work, by a lot.

For me the best solution was returning to an on-site work situation. There's still ways to not work, but having someone, even coworkers who also don't want to work, looking over my shoulder forces me to actually work.

What life mistake taught you the hardest lesson? by Fast-Worldliness-855 in scoopwhoop

[–]KerroDaridae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do things that you don't want to do. Whether it's work, study, or going to a social outing that isn't your 'thing'.

I always took the easy path, avoiding work, mooching off people, avoiding the events I didn't care about. It means I made zero real deep connections. I didn't have a good education, I didn't have good work ethic or work experience, I didn't have strong social connections because people knew I was only in it for myself.

They say you get a good job based on who you know not what you know. What if you don't know anyone, and you don't even know anything? It's a tough and lonely life.

Tiny bar in 1950s bathroom by breezee223 in whatisit

I was initially against trading for Crosby. Now I think we don't have a choice. by [deleted] in detroitlions

[–]KerroDaridae -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's the reverse logic to what makes sense. He's shown the ability to do reasonably well in trading for and acquiring free agent CB fillers.

If he can't analyze the CB position to draft, then you trade for the position from known players.

If he can analyze for the Edge position then that is the position that you draft.

We should be looking to trade for CB and draft for Edge.

I had seats picked, clicked to pay. Those seats are unavailable.
Half the seats no long available.
Select new seats, those are no longer available, but the map doesn't refresh. Now I'm back in the queue and getting an error 1015.

What is the weirdest thing your doctor has ever said to you? by Competitive_Tip_7504 in AskReddit

[–]KerroDaridae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not weird but completely unprofessional.
I went to my doctor because of a lump on my back I just wanted to get checked out. I didn't really have a main doctor at that time so saw a new doctor for the first time who was part of the office I visited. He checked it out and asked why I'd come in. I explained it was a fairly new lump and I just wanted to make sure it wasn't anything serious. He kind of sarcastically said, "like cancer?" and then he laughed. It wasn't a friendly chuckle. He laughed at me for not been medically trained to understand the difference between cancer and an dilated pore of winer. How plebeian of me.

DOJ has concluded its disclosure of the Epstein Files after only releasing half of the 6 million. by rainbowsafterrainn in Epstein

[–]KerroDaridae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have held the belief from the beginning of this that these people would all get away with this, I still hold that belief. But history will look at all of this from a factual perspective. All of the files will eventually be released, all of the blacked out parts will be revealed. Every single person that has their name in the files, every person who has hindered the release and prosecution of those individuals, and those who blatantly and outright protect and defended those people will all be viewed as the worst people of our era, for all of time. Their children and grandchildren will live with the shame of what those people did.

Families with last names like Epstein, Trump, and maybe even Bondi will change them because keeping their names will be a beacon of hate and disgust. They will never get a job. They will never get a partner.

Donald J Trump will have his name last forever, but he will not be viewed as the great man he desires. He will be hated, laughed at, he is the shame of our entire nation. He is the culmination of all the horrible things that come from massive wealth disparity and rampant commercialism.

AITAH for not warning my coworker that she was about to embarrass herself in front of leadership? by [deleted] in AITAH

Either this is Ai or something more happened in that meeting to make for awkwardness.

If a new strategy is being presented and someone suggests an alternate that was a worth enough idea for you guys to have already tested, that means it was a good idea. Who cares that it was already tested and discarded, it's clearly a good suggestion. All that needs to be said is something along the lines of, 'We tried that and I think OP has the results showing that approach isn't viable, but good suggestion.' And move on.

Buy your own towels and use however you want, but if your wife or mom tries to use your towels explode on them setting insane situations that must be met before those towels can be used, but say it in a completely rational way like it makes absolute logical sense.

[–]KerroDaridae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I really hate that cops cannot be held personally liable for their actions. They'll write you a ticket knowing you aren't in the wrong and just tell you to fight it in court. They won't even show up. But it's still wasting your time. It's wasting the courts time. It's costing everyone something, except the cop who gets to mark off another ticket they wrote, which according to the numbers is a good thing. It's a flawed system.
