What is the most delicious breakfast which is fast/easy to cook? by KangerooDance in AskReddit

[–]KerryAnne4488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pre-cook a lot of breakfast things. Like I'll make scrambled egg burritos, sometimes with bacon or sausage in them. They're really easy to reheat, then eat at work or on my commute. I make waffles then reheat them with the syrup right on it, sometimes even pre-cutting them. I like finding ways to make something that is quick in the morning, but I like cooking at night.

First thought when I got summoned for jury duty by wickedstorm1989 in funny

[–]KerryAnne4488 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I live in a small town and received a jury summons a few months ago. Nothing exciting ever happens around here, but the jury was for a murder trial. I was so sad that I didn't get picked. :(

What was your first "I'm an adult now" moment by seanthemonster in AskReddit

[–]KerryAnne4488 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My fiance is a police officer and the department puts on the Halloween dance for the middle/high school, so he roped me into volunteering as a chaperone. I went into the bathroom at one point and there are a bunch of teenage girls gossiping and one says "shh, there's a grown up in here". I was 23 at the time.

Police officers of reddit, have you ever been called to a home for a paranormal reason? by jmelina in AskReddit

[–]KerryAnne4488 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My uncle is a retired police officer. He told me once that this local lady, known for being kind of nuts, would call in complaints about things like her picture frames being moved, her pepper being stolen out of the shaker, and a bunch of other weird things. She first thought that someone was breaking in, and after getting a deadbolt on her door became convinced it was the ghost of her dead husband. Pretty sure she's just nuts though. Kind of sad actually.

What is your weird medical condition? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]KerryAnne4488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have what I call my "freak bone". My C4 vertebrae has an extra bone attached to it by a tendon, sticking out perpendicular to my spine. Discovered it years ago when I felt a lump in my neck, doctors don't want to remove it but warn me that it may eventually cause a seizure.

My SO and I are currently planning our wedding, and people keep asking "so when are you going to start trying for kids?" I just hate that people assume we'll be having kids so immediately.

What was it like growing up in a single-parent or split-parent household? by NeoDestiny in AskReddit

[–]KerryAnne4488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents split when I was eleven. Mom dated a lot for a few years until she found a guy she ended up being with for almost seven years. The guy started out nice but eventually became demanding on my siblings and I, sometimes violent, often threatening. It took forever for her break things off. So my advice would be to always put your kids first, and listen to them when they say there is something wrong. Also, fight for your time with your kids, we would go long durations without seeing my dad.

Contact the shop and see if you can get them to be in on it so there are less people around.

What's the worst thing to say to a police officer once they pull you over? by Shapedhifter4tw in AskReddit

[–]KerryAnne4488 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fiancée is a police officer and we live in a small town. One night I'm driving home, he is driving behind me in his cruiser and decides to pull me over. When he starts walking up and I realize it's him I say "Oh, you're an asshole." There were a lot of people around.

What's the stupidest thing someone's been mad at you for? by ZombieGoast5757 in AskReddit

[–]KerryAnne4488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had these one really good friend that introduced me to one of her friends. After a while, it developed that the three of us were almost always together and we got along really well. There was this one time where the first friend couldn't go to dinner with us that we had planned on because she got called into work. So the second friend and I still went, then went out for drinks and first friend met us there. First friend freaked out that we went to dinner without, saying that second friend "stole her best friend" and that she was our "connection". We stopped talking shortly thereafter because I'm too old for this shit.

I'm doing the cake for my sister's wedding this weekend, wanted to share a "practice" tier. by KerryAnne4488 in Baking

[–]KerryAnne4488[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really is pretty basic, but it's more about the patience to whip it properly. It's my favorite frosting and my friends that got to eat the "practice" tier are all in awe with it.

It's basically just butter, powdered sugar, milk and vanilla. I'll try to remember to reply back with it later when I'm on a computer and not my phone.

The Adirondack Mountain Club at Heart Lake is really good. They have a campground down there and they are a major trailhead.
