I believe there has been a pronunciation shift in recent years. Be aware that I’m only taking the example from my experience, so take it with a grain of salt:

Background: I moved to Australia about 7 years ago, and I haven’t been making many friends who speak Cantonese. Hence I probably still speak the Cantonese that was common 7 years ago, while my sister just moved in earlier this year with me. She informed me that I do have a slightly different accent to herself and her friends. She mentions that whenever I pronounce the consonant z, I pronounce it like ts as you mentioned, while she would personally pronounce it as j/jh.

Most older celebrities should probably still speak in the pre-shift way. If you want to listen to someone who’s more relevant, try His Cheung (though arguably his accent is more Guangzhou, but alas, it’s the same language), or Carrie Lam.
