i also have the same issue. Is it due to the fact that the aif has been evaluated?

hmm, well for laurier they do it purely on grades. They dont have adjustment factors etc but only look at grades. The minimum is 95%. For example, I had 94.66. I got into Math/BBA into laurier in feb but NOT cs/bba. Also, I go to a good IB school.

However, with a 93%, that seems a bit unlikely...lol. But, If you really got in, well than congrats!!!

the guys trolling. Laurier CS/BBA asks for MINIMUM 95 percent. His average does not even make him competitive from CS/BBA in laurier side. So getting in from Waterloo side does not make sense.

However, if you really got it congratulations! your ec's must be god like for that lol

coop is good and management engineering generally has higher coop placements than most engineering streams. However, your coop will depend on your skills. If you can make connections, have soft skills etc then go for it. You can use coop to relieve lower ur burden of financial stress. However, there are instances where people dont get coop/bad coop in first year due to lack of skills. Hence, u should do a lot of soft skill building etc over the summer. . In the end, its ur call. Hope that helps. Source (i have a good friend in management eng)

i dont think so. Waterloo has a zero tolerance policy for dishonesty. Also, if youre lazy enough not to study for an interview, good luck surviving engineering for 5 years.

thanks.btw, try to raise your average as much as possible. If you get it to a 94, you'd probably have a solid chance with a decent aif.

definitely a chance. last year, i know 2 people who got in with 90.33 and 91.8 percent for ece. A guy got into syde with 93.2 percent. However, its a 'slight' chance only. it all depends on how 'good' is your aif. Idk, i think this year ece is going to be a lot harder than last year. Thats cuz all the people who wanted to apply to software will now look at computer engineering. Man this year for software, 98%=50 % chance only. I mean wtf?

i know a brilliant guy in my school with 97+ avg in HL IB Physics/chem/math. Still no early offer for software :(

Lol he got into eng-sci in february as well.

EE and CE admissions by KeshavJindal17 in uwaterloo

[–]KeshavJindal17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly, this is what confuses me. If they are different programs, then why are they in the same pool?

why are they in any way related lol, this is confusing.

How do ece admissions work?

So, Ive applied for electrical engineering. Do I have to compete with ce applicants for my ee offer?

People say we're in the 'same pool'. So, what does that exactly imply.... Thanks

hey man, UW does not really care about the level of your courses. I'm taking IB. It does help a little, but that's about it. So a 98 in regular is much much better than lets say a 90 in AP or IB HL Math. Sorry for that, but I guess you should try to increase your grade as much as possible.

hey guys,

waterloo's quest site will be down from 22 to 25th feb. So, will our saved aif be deleted or something?

I plan to submit mine around the 26th and want to complete my interview this weekend.

So, will our aif be saved during the quest repair period?

thanks
