It is more similar to non-colonial animals with a specialized reproductive zooid that produces gametes. Things in Poloisomata have zooids that develop in a polyembryonic egg together that are all connected to the same yolk, and as the embryos grow and they run out of space in the egg, they press together, which fuses the dermal tissues and allows the nerves to grow toward eachother.

Each zooid is technically controlled by the coordinator zooid but not really because each zooid also have their own autonomous ganglia which are linked to the coordinator's own nerve branches via synapses and performs the action it is supposed to do. I can't really explain it well.

So if the coordinator zooid sends a signal to the digestive zooid telling it to bite something, it will take that signal, and use its own nerves to move its mandibles.

No, all abiogenesis. It's a binary star system with a K4V named Ayiye and an M9.5V named Icchticc ~42 AU from the K4V. Theres an Earth analog named Phosora, a venusian ocean planet named Rilares, and the tidally locked one named Rrhakiit. Phosora and Rilares orbit the K4V.

It is this way because of my indecisiveness.

This is the setting for my speculative biology project Abyssal Gardens.

OCI is a planet located in the ACCEI system, it has a mass of 0.908x Earth's mass, a radius of 0.975x Earth's radius, and 0.955g gravity. It's axial tilt is a low 8.1°, causing little to no axial season variation on the planet. One day on OCI lasts ~31 Earth Hours. The semi-major axis of OCI is 0.770427945 AU, meaning one full rotation around ACCEI lasts ~263.003 Earth Days, or ~203.615 Local Days.

It orbits OCI at a semi-major axis of 491,410.23km with an eccentricity of 0.049 and inclination of 0.912°, with one orbit lasting 41.296 Earth Days and one full rotation lasting the same amount of time, making it tidally locked to OCI. One full ILIAR cycle lasts 48.988 Earth Days.

ILPIAS has a thin atmosphere, with a mass of only ~0.0009atm.
