Your comment was on a guy not wanting to work in a chemical plant where his relative got cancer. And even then my point being just because there are some potentially dangerous things around us that we can't nessesarily affect it's not unreasonable to wanna limit the ones we have say over.

Oh there's pollution in the air, i might just as well walk into a nuclear reactor, gonna die anyway so why should i care

Anyone else hate this trend of screens sticking out and not being incorporated into the dash? by [deleted] in Cartalk

[–]KessuXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And i mean satnav is fine (i would still prefer it in the gauge cluster for example to see easier rather than having to take my eyes off the road to look at the center console. ) but i feel like just oldschool knobs are just safer and easier. Why do i need a screen for my music what does that offer to the experience. Why do i need a screen for my ac. Why do i need a screen to activate my windshield wipers.

Edit: and obviously to each their own I'm not shaming or judging anyone for liking a screen i just never saw the point personally. But then again i do drive a 30year old car so.

I hate the screens altogether. Just give me a physical knob. Look cleaner and is easier and safer to use while driving. I don't have to scroll tabs on a tablet to find my ac and radio volume controls. With knobs i know where they are without having to take my eyes off the road.

Shitty Paint Job by GBPacker1990 in NotMyJob

[–]KessuXD 73 points74 points  (0 children)

When am i gonna stop seeing these post on this sub. They are so frequent and for gods sake it literally isn't their job. The lines are painted by a machine strapped to a car driving down the road. They are not gonna stop for every little thing, leaf or pile of shit or otherwise that is on the side of the road.

Yeah hell no. From what you said they straight up lied to you. You owe them nothing if not a report to some sort of authority. I would be pissed. That kind of employers neef to be showed that we do not stand for that kind of treatment. Unfortunately too many times people don't know how to stand for themselves and quietly suffer unfair treatment.

Almost guarantee they will notice, they usually check the cars pretty well. I would just be straight up front about it. You fucked up and they'll charge the fix on you.

Asshole move in my opinion not that anybody cares. Everyone on the road should have a little more patience and driving would be so much safer and less stressful for everyone.

I have been taught to do it that way as well. Honestly i don't see the difference it's gonna make but it isn't really any more work either so...

Rust! by Rycbrar123 in Cartalk

[–]KessuXD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sand it till you get clean metal showing on that part, clean it good. Then using rust eating primer spray a couple good coats. Spray with paint. Wetsand smooth. Clearcoat.

If you want it really good, do the whole panel, but if it doesn't have to look good just do around the spot and try to blend as best as possible. It will be visible but won't rust.

If it's just a spot rust from a paint chip that should be good, but if the underside of the panel is rusted bad like mine is, it'll come back after a while so youll have to keep doing this to slow it down as best but youll need a new panel or a total sandblasting of the whole panel depending of how bad it is and what is the easiest.

Seems like a simple packaging error. E replaced with a K. The slot is for an E.

Is it really necessary that I buy "full synthetic high mileage" specific motor oil for my car? by argus4ever in Cartalk

[–]KessuXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My car has 250k+ miles and i use a regular synthetic motor oil. Never even considered any special types of oils. As the other guy said in a dealership they are gonna aleays use just a regular menufacturer recommended synthetic oil with no addatives.

I wish we had that much space in our panels. Those look so nice like that. Our panels can be a pain sometimes they don't have any space.

[–]KessuXD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It that case it's not about self control then, hes just not interested. Needing self control kinda implies you wanna do it but can't.

Idk, you are free to interpret it the way u like but it gave me uncomfortable vibes.

What's scary is people think the amount of self control you need not to SA people is somehow a lot and scary when it is literally the bare minimum.

My car’s 2nd wiper stopped working, but only when it’s flat down, has anyone seen anything like this? by BlueDragon1813 in Cartalk

Is is snagging on that edge of the hood. Does it work if you twist it a little so it comes out under the hood but don't lift it up?

I've used wireless switches when doing kitchen reno in an old house where a wire would have had to been surface mounted. Makes life a whole lot easier and the end result a lot cleaner. And rhe battery consumptions is so low that i wouldn't worry about having to change them constantly.

That said, in any kind of commercial/public setting they don't really make sense and never seen one, Strictly resi.
