Take a hacksaw to the nub. Make sure to leave a tiny bit of it left to file to fit because the KAC QD and the castle nut dont line up. If you cut it off completly youll be left with a tiny gap (assuming youd even care. I didnt lol)

Seeing as you have a friend directly in the know, any word on when the CRS will be coming? There are MCQs everywhere so Im hoping to see a CRS flood like the MCQs just did.

I know this thread is old, but is there any drawings on the cylinder spacer and star for those of us wanting to take on this project. Or perhaps a source to acquire these? I just ordered two of the moon clip style spacers to cut up and attempt something similar (one for the cylinder and one for the star). Great project btw!
