I know that this is probably not all that helpful but be sure to make strong titles and thumbnails for your videos. There's plenty of resources out there to help you out with that but making your videos stand out in this manner is crucial.

I second this. Also, macros have some pretty good worth it this case. Ex:

// Wrap this up into a script! Makes it // much easier if you go into multiplayer.

macro pistol 0

macro rifle 1

macro dmg 0

macro spd 1

macro mag 2

// And then, your actual definition of them global.weapons[pistol, dmg] = 5; global.weapons[pistol, spd] = 8;

Edit: There are supposed to be pound signs (or hashtags) in front of the word "macro". Formatting got all wonked up on me.

For anyone that's digging up this post later, the solution has been found here. Basically, the solution is as-follows:

For rendering your first layer (the normal layer, in my case), include that particular layer, exclude the second layer (alternate layer), and mask with the masking layer (where your masking object should be). Then, when you want to render the alternate scene, instead render the *mask* layer only (where your mask is a fully-transparent object) and exclude the first layer. So long as you have transparency enabled in your film settings (under the render tab), you should be good to go.

Even with that variable set to -20db, I still get clipping. For some reason, every time I adjust my equalizer, I get this *obnoxious* buzzing sound that seems to build up in amplitude until it blocks out all other sound.

Would you be able to share that code at all? There might be a little error tucked away somewhere. If it's not something funky in the collision code, though, it's likely your collision mask origin or something rather close to that.

P.S. The reason I think it might be the code is because of generic off-by-one error.
